I have a few things to note about this place:
- The bullet-proof glass is for the protection of the staff. If you have ever walked past this place you know it smells crazy strong because they are growing in there and have to protect their operation. I can only assume they've had some issues with safety in the past because that bullet-proof shit is expensive. Sure, it can make you feel like a criminal if you are sensitive/paranoid, but I personally find it comforting. The neighborhood isn't as horrible as people think, but it's not Upper Queen Anne or Madison Park, either...
- Quality is amazing. I don't know where they get the sunshine;), but their little garden cranks out serious quality, and you can tell that is where they are investing their time and money. Because they grow their own product, their prices are higher than some for a few things, but they are always developing new shit and if you really need specific info some mad scientist from the back will come out and talk to you and it is obvious they know their stuff. It's like going to a microbrewery to buy growlers - no one is there to kiss your ass and bring you a beer, but you get if fresh from the source and get to talk to the people that make it instead of some waiter or specialty beer store nerd.
- So many drinks! It's nice in the summer to walk out with a lemonade or a Rachel's Ginger Beer (local) with THC in it and crack it open right away. I'm not about to pack a bowl on the sidewalk or roll a joint at the bus stop, so it's a treat - especially on Thursdays when the drinks are $3 off.
- I don't care about vape pens. They suck - always have, always will. Do theirs suck/break/leak? Probably - wouldn't know and don't want to.
- Last but not least is the SHATTER. Appropriately named for sure. Try it if you aren't a beginner, haven't had anything other than a perfect experience with it, although it is a luxury with my small-ish budget.
