“BelMar is in a Perfect Location, right next to a Main Road. BelMar's products are organized and displayed for customer viewing. The Bud-tenders are friendly and Knowledgeable, and there is no waiting behind a locked door that is buzzed open like one of there competitors next to the Mall (Green _ _ _ ory).”
“Unfortunately, I can no longer recommend this store. After raising their prices, they are now just about the highest priced shop on the Eastside. When I first purchased an 1/8th of Artizen Cherry Pie it was reasonably priced at a little over $60 out the door. The same product is now priced at $75. On top of that, they will say their prices have not risen but have been lowered. They aren't even the best priced shop in Bellevue, let alone the Eastside (as they claim) and cheaper Artizen, Fireline, and Top Shelf and be found in the very same city. In fact, each farm is $3+ cheaper per gram after all sales taxes are applied. On the plus side, they do offer to price match (which isn't advertised, hmmmmmm). This is important because the shop does not price their flower competitively and even if they know another shop has a lower price they do not adjust their own price (hoping uninformed/naive customers will overpay). BEWARE, you will overpay unless you price match.”
“This is my I don't even know which visit. I'm in here too much. Haha it's hard to stay away from the ebst though! I just picked up an EZ vape from NWCS. I got the super lemon haze. I love the friendliness at the shop and the welcoming atmosphere. The music is awesome too haha! love coming back here every time!”
“Crap service. I purchased one of Evergreen CO2 cartridges. I had trouble getting it to work. I got stopped by at the door whom I assumed was looking for an ID. Nope. He wanted to see a receipt for the CO2 cartridge in my hand. I was refused entry without it.
The box clearly labeled where I got it. The store clerk supposedly checked the cartridge when I bought it.
I was able to fix the cartridge on my own.
What pisses me off is not that they refused a return, I understand needing a receipt for that. It's that they didn't even let me in the store or try to help me with a faulty product in anyway.
“Really its disappointing that places like this continue to get business. Everything in there has been marked up an insane amount.
They want you to feel like its a high quality experience when in reality you're just paying extra for mediocre service and the exact same product as every other store in the Seattle area.
Let me say that again, they are charging you MORE for the SAME product as every other store in Seattle. Artizen? Phat Panda? Why pay $75 for an eighth when (literally) 10 other stores on Leafly have them for $60 or less. And just know what you're getting if you try their "cheap" grams.”
“I just called the shop because I saw one of my favorite strains listed (1 gm $9 - 2gm $15)
they responded with "eighths are $40 including tax" is this correct w/ the July 1st law ?
I actually wanted (2 - 2 gm) containers for $30 plus tax, but dont understand the pricing.”
What strain were you looking for? On July 1, a new law took effect that drastically changed the way marijuana is taxed in Washington and we were updating our prices on Leafly and on our website. We certainly didn't mean to mislead, the pricing change just took a day to fully implement. If you take a look at our updated menus, Leafly, etc., you will see that we price with the 37% excise tax and 9.5% sales tax included. Hopefully I've addressed your concerns, but please let me know if you have any other questions. Sincerely, Boris
First of all, thank you for writing to us and giving us a chance to address your concerns.
On July 1, a new law took effect that drastically changed the way marijuana is taxed in Washington. Instead of the previous excise tax system, which hid the costs of taxes from consumers and caused an inflated price per gram, there is now a single 37% tax (and then an additional sales tax) on the product at the point of sale. This is a new law that just came into effect, and that is why the tax charges were so much higher on your receipt.
We certainly didn't mean to mislead, the pricing change just took a day to fully implement. If you take a look at our updated menus, Leafly, etc., you will see that we price with the 37% tax included.
Hopefully I've addressed your concerns, but please let me know if you have any other questions.
