“They are the only dispensary that I have visited in the state that charges your GRAM ALLOCATION( 2 1/2 ounces or 70 grams every 14 days ) 2 to 1 for hash and 4 to 1 concentrates. This is bad for medical patients that need to dose 100mg plus per day. IE cancer, MS etc. This HIGH MOUNTAIN POLICY could effect a patients ability to complete the prescription requirements for consistent treatment. I will not go back to this dispensary again. ”
Thank you for your feedback. We are sorry to hear of your dissatisfaction with High Mountain Health. We strive to be a model dispensary that always provides patients with the best services and products while adhering to state regulations and preemptive new regulations. The fact is that one (1) gram of flower is not equivalent to one (1) gram of concentrate. It is just a matter of time before this becomes a state rule. Most of the flower we test falls in the low-teens to mid-20% of THC, whereas the hash mostly tests 40-50%, and the wax tests come in the 40-80% range. In addition, extraction does not give you a 1:1 weight return ratio.
If you purchased a gram of wax at 40% THC you would have 400mg making 1/4g of concentrate your daily 100mg dose. To reach the state limit of 71g (an ounce technically being 28.4g) per 14-day period, one can purchase 17.5g of concentrate under our 4:1 policy. That is the equivalent of 7,000mg of medicine, with some of our lowest testing concentrates, which means that you could ingest 100mg/day for the 14-day period and still have 5600mg left over by the time your state limit has rolled over, allowing you to purchase more. If you have a concentrate testing at 80%, it contains 800mg, which equals 14,000mg of cannabinoids over that same 14-day period, making your daily dosage only 10% of the total milligrams available to you.
We have many patients who require much more than 100mg/day and are able to properly address their symptoms and effectively medicate while never reaching their 14-day/ 2.5oz allotment. We have many other products available which can also help meet this need, including our many high-potency edibles, Rick Simpson Oil, as well as our array of CBD-rich products, which have been helpful to many patients living with cancer and MS.
We appreciate your business and hope you understand that we are not out to overload our patients’ state limit. We are doing our best to stay ahead of state regulations and to offer a good representation of the medicine contained within our products.
“From Phoenix area, stopped in to grab a little something for a hike and was very pleased. The menu was great, they had an awesome selection and the staff was awesome. I wish I had a spot like this in the Phoenix area.”
“I have been to many dispensaries since I started using medical cannabis. 90% of them were from Colorado. The other dispensary that I've been to in Arizona was very very bad. When I come to High Mountain Health, I was blown away. It had the service and quality that reminded me of Colorado, making Flagstaff even more like Denver than I thought before. These guys are great, the daily deals and amazing, and the medicine will knock you off your feet if you so choose it to be. Thanks for all your hard work.”
