“I was a medical member of this location until today. I asked for a replacement vape battery. They didn't have that brand, but she said she had the same and used an aftermarket battery with no issue. I bought the battery, which fit, but would not work with my vape. I returned the item 2 hours later with undamaged packaging and a receipt and was refused a cash refund, even though it was their misinformation that led me to buy the item. Moving my membership somewhere else immediately.”
We are incredibly sorry about your unfortunate experience at our Peoria location and you have our sincerest apologies. We had a junior manager on staff who was simply trying to make the right call but didn't. There are times we make exceptions and in your case, our senior managers would have taken care of you properly. We would love an opportunity to make this right and did leave you a couple of voicemail's so we would love to hear from you! Could you please reach out to our Store Manager Samantha at your convenience and she will do what it takes to insure you have exactly what you need or know where to access it. Please understand that we value your business and we take pride in having the opportunity to be the primary provider of your medicine. We hope that after Samantha attempts to rectify this situation that you're inspired to maintain an ongoing membership with us, as we love serving our medical patients! We genuinely hope to hear from you, have a great day and speak with you soon
“I came to Lightshade Peoria for the first time to purchase 1/2 oz of flower to treat severe chronic pain. I have to say this is definitely not even close to my favorite dispensary :( I arrived around 4pm on a Friday and the shop was moderately busy. I approached the desk to check in and the receptionist asked for my ID in between speaking to someone else on the phone. I was asked to sit and wait for my turn, which isn't a big deal. So after waiting maybe 5 minutes, I was called back and I explained to the girl calling me back that this was my first medical purchase and she got kind of short tempered with me and asked why I hadn't given my medical Info to the receptionist? I explained I had never been here before and the receptionist was busy on the phone and didn't even ask me what I was there for. So now I am walked back up to the reception desk where they check me in again, but for medical and put me back at the end of the line, and then had to sit in the waiting room again. This was irritating, but I just thought ok, mistakes happen. So after I wait my turn AGAIN, the same girl comes and calls me again. I am led to a small counter with a bud tender waiting. I explain I am trying to find a good strain to help with chronic pain. Unfortunately, he explained they only had 4 varieties of bud available and of those only one would be suitable for what I am requesting. I pay at the counter I am standing at, and then told to go with my receipt to yet another line to wait and pick up my product. After waiting in line, I hand my receipt over and the guy goes in the back room and comes out with 2 containers of pre-weigh (1/4 oz each) which he puts into a bag along with a bunch of advertising garbage that went into my recycle container when I got home.
I am not at all impressed with this particular dispensary. It seemed unorganized, there is no privacy when talking to a bud tender about your medical needs, the bud I was shown was definitely better looking than the bud in the containers when I got home (very small buds with a good amount of broken material in my containers compared with the buds on display. I used them to make canna-butter, so I can't give details on how it smoked.”
