“I thought I was going to have to learn meditation to confront my problems but I sincerely asked myself "Why?" and thank God found Mahalo instead.
Now I can withstand almost any bullshit with the high quality marijuana I purchase there. This is the shop that soldiers, who have seen some shit, go for their medicine. I haven't been to war but my 20s were pretty sketchy.
The staff is wonderful. I think a family owns it (although I'd appreciate a family portrait on the wall so I could be sure; maybe something Christmas-y, but definitely not one of those old-fashioned tintypes. I hate those). That staff is very friendly, discreet, and completely lacks a snobby attitude.
The guy in the stocking cap is particularly knowledgable, and really makes an effort to give everyone personalized service. I *rarely* stop in yet he always remembers what's new since the last time. (My doctor doesn't seem to remember me in between visits, but who's on drugs?)
I read the other review and honestly don't know why people are complaining about the parking lot being small. Unless you have mobility issues, there's plenty of parking down the block where you should be parking anyway. No one needs to know your business for Christ's sake.
Suggestions...a weed-tasting event would be fab, or complimentary rotisserie Chicago-style hot dogs, but whatever, I'm flexible. Thank you.”
“I just moved out of downtown PDX so I needed to find my "go to" shop within the new area! I found it! After doing a brief search of the new area I decided to go with them because of the reviews as well as their menu looked very tasty and actually well put together & updated.
The customer service was great. The steeler fan was more than happy to help this Packer fan, lol.
Check-in was a piece of cake.
Check-out was very easy and smooth.
Just an awesome experience, pumped to get back in there and try some of the other strains.”
“I've been to several pot shops in the metro area and Mahalo is my favorite. It's a laid back place that appeals to me. I like the warm wood tones and prefer form and function over fancy foo foo. They call me by my name, they remember what I like, and give appropriate recommendations. The people are great! I'm not sure if "customer-centric" is a word, but they seem to care what we (customers) want. As a non-sales tax Oregonian, I was ready stop buying from them when the 25% Boston tea-party tax was imposed. If they did not include the register price on their menu I was ready to quietly walk away. However, I was super excited when they got creative and decided to absorb some of that tax by eliminating 1/8th quantities. There are no surprises when you get to the register! A 10 dollar gram is 10 dollars and 70 dollars for a quarter. Simple.
btw...I'm a REAL customer and this review is completely unsolicited.
“Customer service is great and the team work is fantastic! Lots of happy customers move through these doors and this shop takes excellent care of their needs and requests. Definitely will be back for more! ”
