“Went a bit out of my way to check out The Jazz Club. I usually go to smaller dispensaries and this one was a bit of a surprise for me, seeing all of those cars in the lot. The whole parking lot belongs to TJC, so there is plenty of easy parking even with all of those cars.
Don't know what the building looked like before, but they've done a really nice job with the attractive exterior. Metal detector and ID check immediately inside. First time paperwork etc takes about 10 minutes including 2 pages needing a coupla signatures and lots of initialing. Some of the points are a bit ambiguous but what the heck. They're trying to cover their butts and do as much by the book as they can in this quasi-legal environment (with AG Jeff Sessions who still wants to go after all cannabis users!)
Large, comfortable waiting area. Big screen TV, popcorn, refreshments. Lot of activity, both from the apparently large staff and all of the patients getting buzzed in and out. There's 6 or so folks people in front of me but it only takes about 10-15 minutes to get called in to a large U shaped room filled with an overwhelming choice of cannabis goodies (obvious from the menu here). There were 4 or 5 budtenders tending the bud. I could have spent a lot of time perusing the medibles ('specially the chocolates), the oils, the shatter & crumble, the myriad of products with professionally looking branding and those with more of a home-brewed look. But I was here today for some flower, it was late, and - alas - my wallet was a bit light during this visit (still waiting for the day when I can whip out a credit card).
They have product to fit every budget. I decided to avail myself of the "$10 off mid & top shelf on an 1/8 Thursday special", and was definitely pleased with the final per gram price of about ten bucks after the $20 off new member discount. I pretty much relied on the recommendations from the very patient budtender after explaining to her what effects I was looking for (though I am often dubious about some of the claims made for any particular strain. Whatever.) Everything she showed me had a marvelous fragrance, with fresh and crystally looking small buds. Purple Alien was particularly lovely.
As with other dispensaries, your stuff gets stapled into an "Rx" bag. This one was not a generic bag but was printed with "Cannabis warnings" and a very obvious "Green Rush" company logo. I'd prefer just a plain Rx bag without the obvious attention called to the contents of the bag.
They have a point rewards system but I wasn't told how it works, and I forgot to ask.
Unfortunately, it doesn't appear as if TJC gets their herb tested by an independent laboratory like Iron Mountain. Cannabis is being marketed as medicinal, so get everything tested for %THC & CBD (and only cannabinoids if possible), as well as mold and pesticides. TJC does so much else in a professional manner, why not this?
All in all, gotta give 'em 5 stars. Nice operation, pleasant & secure environment, wide selection.
I didn't hear any jazz.”
