“I'm a big fan of Uncle Ike's. I've always had budtenders that were willing to help me pick something new out. I've never felt rushed by the staff, but I suppose the line of people waiting can cause anxiety in others. The selection is great. I usually end up with the cheap buds, but every now and then, it's nice to splurge on some fire.
The worst part about going to Uncle Ike's is the construction on 23rd right now (not their fault) but I still stop by a couple times a month.
Highly recommended, don't let the haters deter you from good cheap weed!”
“Most rude, unhelpful staff in all of Seattle all under one gentrified roof. Employees have an awful attitude and you are forced in a cattle line giving you 0 time to make a selection. I recently got 7g for 40$, great deal, STILL not worth it. Corny vibes all around.”
“I've been coming to Uncle Ike's for quite awhile. Lately it's been more hassle than it's worth. They have an awesome selection but their staff isn't particularly helpful. It might not be their fault though; it's always so crowded that the whole experience is very "get-in-and-out-ASAP." Its glass shop next door has friendly staff though.”
“Honestly, Ike's gets a bad rap for being too commercial, and for the lined-cattle thing, but it's busy for a reason. They have excellent deals, and really great selection and quality product. This is my go-to weed shop. I will agree that the bud tenders can be hit or mis on occasion, but I've experienced that at literally every shop I've ever been to... just like every other place, some bud tenders are pot heads and some are weed experts. You just gotta find the right one.”
“This is a tourist spot really. You are herded through a line like cattle and then feel rushed at the counter to make a decision without having time to really browse and see what selection they have. The budtenders are hit and miss. They seem to care more about volume of business over quality of the interaction but it is what it is. The selection is usually decent and they have another building full of paraphernalia in the same parking lot- that's nice and convenient and the staff takes more time with you next door.”
“OMG! I am so impressed with this place! I'm fairly new to edible marijuana, a little more experienced with smoking weed but I have bad asthma and happily made the change to edibles once I moved from scary, repressive Georgia to the Seattle/Tacoma area.
Anyway, I had gotten ripped off big time from a pot shop in Tacoma (Highway 7) and had heard lots of great things about Uncle Ike's. Last week I finally made the journey from Tacoma to Uncle Ike's in Seattle. As soon as my friend and I walked in, we were greeted pleasantly by a biiiiiiig black dude who was like a teddy bear. Very friendly guy but he was not afraid to throw a crazy homeless guy out of the store. My friend went off to buy some joints while I timidly made my way to the front counter. The joint (ha ha!) was jumping. I was immediately helped by a sweet young woman named Alexis. She was incredibly friendly and put me at ease immediately. I told her what I wanted and she pulled a lot of edible product off the wall to show me my options. Wow, what an amazing selection and the prices made my jaw drop. Alexis never acted rushed or impatient; she was happy to tell me about her own experiences with various products that she had out on the counter. So many choices, but I was finally sold on a bag of caramel apple "cheweez" from Magic Kitchen. I paid $28 for them which was about fifteen dollars cheaper than other recreational marijuana stores. I'm sorry if people have had bad experiences at Uncle Ike's. I was VERY impressed with Alexis and everyone else there. I will most definitely be returning. The location is right on the Metro bus #2 route and is in a fairly safe neighborhood. I might not go up there at night but during the morning, when my friend and I went, we both felt completely safe, except for the crazy homeless guy who was on the bus with us and got thrown out of Uncle Ike's!”
“First experience in a dispensary... Terrance, who works the door, was very knowledgeable and kindly went through the extensive menu with me before I got in line. I am completely impressed with the patience and knowledge of the staff. Stacee was my budtender, she too was happy to walk me through the products and answered all my questions about different strains and inventory they carry (mainly prerolls).
Both Terrance and Stacee are the reasons I will be coming back in the near future. (cough cough-even if it is all the way from East Tennessee!)
Thanks again, y'all !
p.s. the glass next door is gorgeous- great prices and friendly faces there too!”
Thanks for the review, I'm so happy you had a great experience. We strive to have a knowledgable and friendly staff and I'm glad they were able to give you the best service for your first visit, see you next time!
