The Bay Area’s first collaboration between a dispensary and a restaurant sounds mighty satisfying.

Berkeley’s Hi-Fidelity Cannabis Shop is teaming up with the local restaurant The Bird to pair legal cannabis with delectable fried chicken.

Hi-Fi Cannabis Shop emerged from an equally enjoyable counterpart with music when the owners of neighboring Amoeba Records opened the dispensary earlier this year to expand their business.

Meanwhile just a block away, contemporaries of the Bird have enjoyed their signature fried chicken sandwiches and breakfast biscuits made with fresh-baked buns and a pleasing blend of spices. The go-to is the “Happier Meal,” consisting of a sandwich, curly fries and a beer for just $12.50.

Starting this week, adult guests can upgrade it to the “Happiest Meal,” which also includes a coupon redeemable at Hi-Fidelity good to buy one pre-roll and get a second one at half price.

Guests of the dispensary won’t be left out of the collaboration. Anyone who purchases any eighth-ounce of flower get a coupon for a free curly fries and a beer with the purchase of a sandwich at the Bird.
