Best Pot Brownies: The Recipe Rebel’s “Absolutely the Best Brownies Ever” Recipe

March 23, 2016

When we combed the internet for the world’s best cannabis-infused brownie recipe, we discovered this one claiming to make “Absolutely the Best Brownies Ever.” We’re not inclined to knock anything before we’ve tried it, so we took this hobby blogger at her word and brought cannabis into the mix to make the brownies even better. Unique among our other brownie recipes in using whole wheat flower, we love this version for the dense, fudgy chocolate squares it yields – they’re rich, classic, and incontrovertibly delicious.

The Recipe Rebel’s “Absolutely the Best Brownies Ever”

Yield: One 9” x 13” pan.

1 C cannabutter, melted

2 ½ C sugar

1 Tbsp vanilla

1½ C whole wheat flour

1 C cocoa

½ tsp salt

chocolate chips for sprinkling on top or mixing in (optional)

  1. Preheat oven to 350˚F.
  2. In a large bowl, combine cannabutter, sugar and vanilla with a whisk until smooth.
  3. Whisk in eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.
  4. Stir in flour, cocoa and salt until combined.
  5. Line a 9” x 13” pan with tin foil and spray with non-stick spray. Spread batter in prepared pan. Bake for 26-30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.

Note: The amount of cannabis butter specified in this recipe is a very loose suggestion; the actual amount you use should be modified based on the strength of your cannabutter and the potency you desire. Dosing homemade edibles can be tricky (click here to learn why), so the best way to test for potency is to start with one portion of a serving, wait one to two hours, then make an informed decision on whether to consume more. Always dose carefully and listen to your body, and never drive under the influence of cannabis.
