Moving to Colorado for Legal Cannabis

October 23, 2018
One of the top states in population growth—coming in at number eight out of fifty—it’s starting to feel like almost everyone knows someone who is moving to Colorado.

And it’s easy to see why. Beyond legalization, which has certainly been a huge pull for many, Colorado offers some of the most beautiful scenery in the country. It’s a nature enthusiast’s dream with a surplus of state parks to explore. Camping, fishing, hiking, and snow sports keep things exciting all year round.

In addition, cities such as Denver, and even smaller spots like Fort Collins, are thriving with breweries, music venues, restaurants, and of course, dispensaries.

Having legalized cannabis in 2014, the state has had the last four years to fine tune its market. The result? Quality is high and prices are low. In fact, cannabis prices have recently plunged to the lowest they’ve ever been in the state.

Recreational dispensaries offer a wide range of products and are common in the most populated areas. But, as with California, there will be parts of the state that don’t offer dispensaries, so make sure you research locations to find a spot that has ease of access. For your personal needs, Colorado allows adults 21+ to grow up to six plants of their own.

The Centennial State has become one of the top destinations for those looking to move to a legal cannabis base. As a result, it houses robust communities full of people who love nature, entertainment, and weed.

If you’re considering moving to Colorado, it’s likely you already have at least one friend who lives there, so you already have a fellow toker to share your first legal blunt.
