Ontario Announces Plan to License 50 More Cannabis Stores

If you missed out on the first round of Ontario’s licensing lottery that saw random winners become cannabis store owners, you have another chance.

The provincial government recently announced plans to award 50 new cannabis retail licenses across the province through an adapted lottery process. Further, eight of those licenses will be reserved for the First Nations community, who will get licensed through a separate first come, first served process.

Which Canadian Province Consumes the Most Cannabis?

Logically, the province with the most legal retailers leads the pack in legal cannabis consumption.

The retail boom in Alberta has translated to more cannabis industry hires in the province, along with similar employment activity in British Columbia and Ontario where the legal market is concerned.

CBD for Horses: Canada’s Equine Cannabis Brand is a World First

Toronto-based company CannaHorse announced it was launching “the world’s first ever legal cannabis brand dedicated to horse health.”

As you may know, pet owners and veterinarians have been lobbying for the amended legislation to allow CBD prescriptions for pets. CannaHorse intends to use CBD on horses to help treat pain, inflammation, anxiety, surgical recovery, and more.
