Can’t Find Cannabis in Colorado Springs? Pueblo Has You Covered

Pueblo, Colorado, is a great destination for cannabis tourism. They get a lot of customers from Colorado Springs (which prohibits recreational dispensaries) as well as tourists from Oklahoma and Texas.

Just forty miles south of Colorado Springs, dispensaries in Pueblo offer a better selection and lower prices than those in Manitou Springs, which is actually closer to Colorado Springs.

In Pueblo, dispensaries always display out-the-door pricing which includes the 23% tax. This helps out-of-town customers know what they’re getting into before they buy. Pueblo county also requires that cultivation ingredients be displayed on flower jars.

I visited a few of Pueblo’s 35 recreational dispensaries, and here’s what I found.

The Spot 420 Pueblo Central

Locations in Pueblo:

Go for: Grow tour, large selection of accessories and edibles

Most of the flower at The Spot 420 is grown at their western Pueblo facility, in the same building as their Pueblo West store. They hold hourly tours every day of their 20,000 sq. ft. grow facility. The Spot 420’s central Pueblo location is right off I-25.

Both locations feature $35 concentrates made from trim by Happy Camper, a large selection of edibles, an excellent variety of accessories, and cartridges made by Eureka Vapor. Specials include a whopping 25% medical discount and a 20% industry discount. Most of the Spot 420’s flower is rich in terpenes with a great nose appeal. The Tahoe Alien I bought tasted as good as it smelled!

According to my budtender, Cari, most of the flower at Three Rivers Cannabis is grown at their facility in western Pueblo. This includes a huge selection of high-quality ounces for $89 to $99. The Blueberry Headband I tried was excellent. They also have a great selection of low-cost edibles.

Cannasseur

Locations in Pueblo:

Go for: Reasonable prices served up quickly in a classy atmosphere

The lobby of Cannasseur’s Pueblo West location looks like an upscale hotel. The high-end atmosphere continues into the sales room, which features a window that looks in on their organic-soil-based grow room.

In addition to growing their flower in-house, Cannasseur also creates their own CO2 extracts. They’re worth visiting for the rock-bottom prices and classy atmosphere. Specials include $45 ounces and $5 joints.

Nature’s Gift Shop

Locations in Pueblo:

Go for: High-quality flower

General Manager Elijah of Nature’s Gift Shop really cares about high-quality flower. “I don’t sell anything here that I wouldn’t give to my mother,” he says.

The dispensary’s grow is pesticide- and chemical-free and they put a lot of thought into the other wholesale flower that they carry. The dispensary is also committed to customer education: “Consumers need to know what they’re putting in their bodies,” says Elijah.
