Vertical hand-trims and hang-dries its Cold Creek Kush. The indica-dominant indoor-grown strain’s terpene profile (beta-pinene, nerolidol, beta-caryophyllene) gives it an herbal, earthy, piney, woodsy aroma.

I am what is known as a tolerance monster, so keep that in mind as you read this. As someone who regularly takes strong edibles/drinkables, smoking doesn't usually give me a particularly good buzz, or if it does, it doesn't last more than maybe a grand maximum of 30 minutes. I picked up a 1g pre-roll from Lake City Cannabis in Chestermere, AB (A+ highly recommended dispensary!) and thought I'd go outside and enjoy it during the Chinook. The joint came in a plastic package (boo) but as soon as I opened it I realized why: the smell was so intense and potent that it nearly literally knocked me off my feet. There's a definite strong pine flavor in there, very earthy. The first thought when I lit it up was that it hit really hard and really fast. My head went fuzzy and my thoughts became intense, existential, and creative. A cop had pulled up nearby and I found myself feeling ye olde paranoia creeping up, and found myself hiding from view. I'm usually very good at controlling paranoia but this gave me a run for my money. The intense part of the high lasted a solid 2ish hours. My depression felt nonexistent, likely because of the existential-type thoughts. Really, there were too many thoughts to have to think too much about the depressed side of myself. The irritable bowels were also turned off during this high. As a writer, this strain also made me immediately sit down in my chair once I came in, breaking a several-month writer's block. The joint itself was pretty gross. About halfway through, the paper turned to soggy glue in my lips and the paper/glue tasted cheap, so that was unfortunate. If this strain interests you, I'd recommend you roll your own (hemp blunt shells are my personal favorite). My libido felt awake and at the ready if I were so inclined. There was a bit of pressure in my face and around the eyeballs, though the cottonmouth and dry eyes were almost nonexistent. My chronic back pain was very nicely relieved and I didn't become too hyper-aware of my body (a phenomena that often works against a good pain relief strain). Being outside felt wonderful, if you have somewhere it's okay to go for a walk, this was nice to enjoy outdoors (so long as you can control that paranoia, of course). I didn't feel too munchie or sleepy either, which is always a big plus. I would NOT recommend driving if you are planning to have this strain, simply because it is so strong, even a monster like me didn't feel like it would be wise to get behind the wheel. My head was a bit hazy and unfocused so better safe than sorry and stay away from this one if you've got somewhere to be. Overall, a good strain and highly recommended if you can take a lot of THC! To make this a 5/5 experience it would have needed a better quality pre-roll and a lot less paranoia ^_~ Nevertheless, I loved it and would definitely have it again!

When I opened the package, I was pleasantly surprised to see a humid pack and some decent buds in the container. Great smoke, hard hitting kush that smacks you in the face when you smoke it. A good friend said it gave him paranoia where he normally never gets anxious when smoking, but this one did. My boss and I enjoyed this very much, so it's always dependent on the person if they like those hard hitting Indica Hybrids.

I told myself I would give this review a 5 stars. However the only thing keeping me from that is the price. It is top notch bud, and it’s not the most expensive herb where I’m from, but it is still too high in my opinion, to keep up to black market rates. That being said. I’d recommend this bud to anyone looking for that sedating indica to put you out, if you’re willing to pay the extra price.
Cold Creek Kush is an indica-dominant hybrid that crosses the powerful MK Ultra and fellow Colorado native Chemdawg 91. The work of T.H. Seeds, this strain nabbed 2nd place at the 2010 High Times Cannabis Cup in the indica category. Cold Creek Kush flowers at 9 to 11 weeks, but must have adequate room to stretch out its limbs. Piney and sour, users rave over its fresh taste and balanced effects, which are relaxing without being too sleepy.
