The Green Planet - King City

please for the love of weed, never go to this dispensary. This place used to be right by my house so I went there often. In retrospect, I actually learned LESS about weed and it's medicinal benefits by shopping here. The staff is always rushed, (and usually rude), the flower is often sub par, (by comparison to others), and the deals aren't good. The only redeeming quality is one guy that works there - he's one of my favorite budtenders of all time.

Mendo Breath

4/14/2019
I've only been able to get my hands on "mid grade" Mendo Breath, but every time it's looked and smelled like some of the best weed ever. To me, it smells like candy canes. Minty and Sweet. The buds are super dense, dark purple, and sticky as hell. The smoke hits heavy, but that being considered it's pretty smooth. Taste is sweet, pungent, mint. Lazy high with just a little anxiety because it's strong. If you take it easy I bet it would be super mellow. Doesn't relieve pain as well as some other OG strains for me, but definitely helps with appetite and depression/stress.

Motorbreath

4/13/2019
I love me some Chemdawg so when I saw this strain I had to grab some. The chemical is very strong. The SFV adds a sweet/sour note and extra bright white resin. The high is similar to Chem 91 for me. It's a slight creeper, then once it hits you, all is well. It starts with a head calm. Then that melts into a full-body euphoria. Sour chemical taste all through which I always love. It's not my favorite taste, but it let's me know I'm about to get blazed. Once Motorbreath has done it's work, you're feeling great for about 2 hours minimum. I haven't noticed much of a crash, but my anxiety did go up with minimal paranoia overall. Beats my depression, pain, stress, stomach issues, and fatigue. Definitely a go-to strain. 5/5.

Portland Canna Connection

4/13/2019
I only have one *tiiiiny* gripe - it's too small! oh, and it's too far from my house. Otherwise, an A+, fantastic experience. Nea helped me out. She is so genuine, kind, and easy to talk to. Probably my favorite budtender of all time. She took the time to make sure I got exactly what I was looking for, and took the time to shoot the breeze as well. I respect that. The selection is basically, insanely perfect - like poster-child nuggets - at competitive prices. No BS, just quality all across the board. A great balance of classic strains and "novelty" strains too. I got an eighth of Golden Ticket and an eighth of OG Pie Face. Both were just phenomenal.

Nectar - Beaverton Hall

I love this place and everybody that works there. it feels like "Cheers" and that's good I want my dispensary to feel. oh and their prices, products, and knowledge? all the best in Southwest!

Parlour Cannabis Shoppe

3/19/2019
This became one of my top 5 dispensaries in the suburbs after my first visit. this place has it all - quality, kindness, knowledge, good prices. You will not have Parlour unsatisfied. Actually, you'll probably leave all giddy like I was. Cody was the main budtender that helped me out. I have nothing negative to say about him at all. He's a super cool and knowledgeable cat. Kelly rang me up and Cody just passed on the good vibes right to her. Get some.

Obama Kush

3/13/2019
So first off this is some cheap outdoor, BUT, it is a decent garden and this batch came in at over 21%. Looks are all there. No purple in mine but emerald with tons of red hairs and covered in light amber trichomes. The smell I'm getting is funky blueberry at first then a more sour kush as it airs out. *side note: I noticed recently that I think most Cookie strains, or Durban crosses in particular, do not agree with me. I get super edgy (paranoia?) and although they are delicious and heavy, I can't do it. So I'm back to the drawing board with some safer hybrids. So I rolled up a pretty fat joint and yeah the taste was a skunky pine/lemon. This stuff hit my chest super hard. I enjoyed smoking it but damn I had to put it out like 2/3 of the way through. I'm glad I did though because I'm a goner. I love OG/lime/lemon/kush/pine/sour strains, have I mentioned that? Obama gave me that dumb passive high. How appropriate ;) Like don't ask me to even cook for myself. Character and ego out the door off the bat. The kind of high where you know the pain is still there because it's not going away anytime soon, (spinal and skull fracture in my case), but you're so high that you don't really care. It's basically the same concept as opiates. No anxiety but I am definitely lazier than others have described. Little if any paranoia. Dry eyes and mouth as you'd expect. Kids and newbies go easy on this one. I do t see how anybody could dislike this strain. I'm officially a fan of Obama Kush. I'd put it in my top ten for sure. I gave it five stars because I know that if this was some chronic indoor, it would have blown me away.

Birthday Cake

3/11/2019
so I actually have wedding pie #3 which apparently is GSC x Grape Pie. so it's close and I've had real wedding/ice cream cake as well. The varieties I've seen are just gorgeous. not a ton of purple, but so dusted, with almost a pink color to it. Cherry Pie by itself is much more dense and round, this stuff is like if you elongated and fluffed up some cherry pie nuggets and added more trichomes. I smoke joints mostly. when I opened my grinder to see how much keef I had... I mean... it was a cloud. I grinded about three grams to get over .5 of keef I'd say. the smell is very sweet and sour but with a definite chemical smell leaning toward diesel (in my opinion). the smoke is one of the smoothest and that's a feat considering THC is usually over 25%. it's kind of a creeper just like some other GSC crosses I've tried so beware. there is some anxiety and paranoia, (or in my case, edginess), but it's manageable and once you get past that it's smooth sailing. you're happy. relaxed. more energetic than if you smoked just GSC so that's a plus. I find GSC to be too sedating, and while this strain picks me up a bit more, it's still heavy. it hasn't been great for appetite stimulation yet but we will see. when I combined it in a joint with some Granola Funk last night I got crazy munchies like an hour after smoking. that was a fatty with a ton of keef in it tho so yeah..

Granola Funk

3/11/2019
Intro: So due to being the third reviewer of this strain (why?), and only having two really brief reviews so far here on Leafly, I'mma have to take this seriously. I got pictures and everything, it will be long but informative ;) General: Granola Funk by Meraki Gardens. Purchased from the wonderful folks at Nectar here in PDX. I struggled to decide between this and... shoot I can't remember. I don't think I can really remember anything right now.. geeezuz. I didn't see that coming. I should have cuz it's 30.7%! ok.. super dumb kush high. Looks: The bag appeal is up there with the Mona Lisa. Especially coming from a farm like Meraki, which in my opinion is the poster girl for what a successful cannabis farm should look like. check them out. You can barely see through the coat of gigantic Amber trichomes, but underneath is chunky hues of mostly purple. We are talking colors that you wouldn't even think could exist on a nugget, or in nature for that matter. My impression is honestly that this is a work of art, and I'm not trying to be grandiose I swear. The smell matches the name really well. Matches the taste too but I'll get to that later. Imagine a soft cranberry granola bar. That's it EXACTLY! So sour and musky like you wouldn't believe. Taste + Method: I love smoking joints so much. The joint wasn't huge because it's 30.7% THC. I'm guessing like .4. Creamy sour smoke. very smooth until the end of the joint when I started coughing. but that's fine because I get more high. speaking of! I. AM. FADED. goner. out of commish. I have really bad nerve pain so that isn't going anywhere, but otherwise I feel fantastic. care free. lazy. maybe it's me, but I wouldn't want to be around strangers on this strain. bring outdoors in the summer at night sounds perfect on this ish. anything else?? get some!!

Marijuana Paradise

3/8/2019
I didn't even buy anything and this is my favorite dispensary so far. If there is one dispensary that you have to go to, it's Marijuana Paradise. I was just there yesterday, I didn't even buy anything because I'm broke, but I'm considering going back today! Dez is a gosh dang sweetheart, but a GD boss as well! She is doing her thing, seemingly following her dream and running a mom and pop with the utmost respect for cannabis. That is my kind of dispensary! All sorts of beautiful superstar strains from amazing growers and even quite a few "novelty" strains too (my favorite). Rare strains you know? Even as I was leaving, Dez too the time took the time to stop for a minute and ask me about a story I had touched on earlier. Not even really related to cannabis. She showed me that she is in this for the love. If I could afford to shop here every day (you pay for what you get here, and you get the best) I would. Thanks MP!
