Harlequin

7/8/2019
I CANT STOP SMILING! Total noob, early 30s. Always supported but never used. Got medical in my state (ptsd) and got a CBD only strain, this, and a mild indica. CBD helps with migraines, and is relaxing but not intoxicating. Indica made me dizzy. Harlequin? Makes me SMILE! I just played with my toes for like 20 minutes. I was too afraid to drive on PlayStation Gran Turismo, so I put in Skate3 and the guy keeps complaining that I forgot to touch the controller. It keeps turning off, because I might be a touch dizzy, but probably just need water. Def dry eyes, that’s a point off... but I’m kinda still really happy about my toes. Or something. First time I tried Harlequin I accidentally measured more than I meant, and vaped too much. Then I needed to go out on a tuxedo and go to a fancy dinner! That was a bunch of anxiety, and I had to go home early. So I went back to CBD for a while, o only used a few times a month. Today I figured smoking is like 50% the strength of vapor (30% vs 50-80%est), so maybe it wouldn’t get me so high? Well guess what? I don’t even know what I’m writing about anymore. And now I’m frowning. But that reminded me of smiles, so now I’m happy again. Made a shopping list to go buy food tomorrow. How can my impulses right now be wrong? It’s 11pm or id walk to the store right now! Also gonna go to Michaels craft store tomorrow. Saw some dope lighter-diy crafts on Leafly and got inspired. Gonna but hundreds of feet of hemp rope. And maybe some beads. And start a necklace design business so I can move to the beach. Yo, this would be so good in the sun. Maybe tomorrow I’m bold enough to smoke outside, that will be nice! Also, everybody says to listen to music when you’re hIgh but I got like top40 radio songs playing in my head nonstop. Idk how anyone writes new music high - I can only hear old music on loop! (I’m a full time musician, just only brand new to pot) So I give this 4/5 because it gave me panic when I did too much, it smells like cheese or something sour (in a bad way), also tastes bad like sour milk. Made me lose my appetite like not gagging, but almost. Smoke is better because less flavor, so maybe that’s the way? Btw, idk how much I smoked. Not much. 2 baby-hits from a 1-hitter, and idk if it was even packed (probably not) Enjoy! And SMILE!

Zen Leaf - Abington

Bus tenders are super nice and helpful. Security guy is friendly too. But the security guy makes ppl wait in line and it’s right on a busy road. Have the door around back, and maybe have an awning to wait under when it’s 90° and sunny and some people come in a suit? Inside is decent enough but feels small and a bit awkward that all the chairs face the desk/door (away from the room w the counter and products). Only 2 customers at a time? I don’t know if it’s like that everywhere but sometimes the wait can be surprisingly long. They have water/tea/cookies out, but no guests are allowed even in the waiting room (looks like it’s for guests, but if my wife drives me, she has to wait in the car!) Conveniently located (closest dispensary to my home) but I hear the prices are much more competitive elsewhere. Staff is so friendly that id feel guilty shopping elsewhere, but it is very expensive.

Star Killer

Budtender recommended for nighttime use. Microdosing, 1-2 puffs with vaporizer, low/no tolerance (new user) hoping for relief from stress/migraines (ptsd) and help relax for bed. Used twice so far. First at night, then once today. Mixed 2:1 with The Wife (19% CBD, 0.74% THC, almost like CBD hemp flower) hoping to offset potential anxiety, and to lower the TCH basically diluting the Star Killer. At those very low doses (estimating near the equivalent bioavailability as a 1mg THC edible like a mint, etc), I don't notice symptom relief. Very minor couchlock (which I wanted) and appetite increase, but mostly just dizzy and mild anxiety.

The Wife

4/22/2019
I reviewed this strain a couple weeks ago and was disappointed. I since tried it with a touch of Harlequin, Remedy, and Berry White, and discovered it is a great base for a blend. Not only that, but after accidentally measuring out too much Harlequin (10% THC) and having a panic, I have gone back to The Wife as it's own medicine. I didn't feel the effects the first couple times, maybe I didn't use enough, maybe my vaporizer needed to be broken in, I don't know. I need 4-5 deep mouth-fulls of vapor to get the benefit, but it's just enough THC to induce mild euphoria and slight lightheadedness (lasts 5-15 minutes) and a gentle body buzz that lasts about an hour. I never expected anything in the world to work for migraines, but with The Wife, I know it's worn off after an hour because that's when the pain returns. The aroma is really starting to grow on me as well, and the taste is very mild (like white tea?) and it doesn't have any short-term memory loss or racing thoughts. Any sativa I've tried as a pick-me-up on dreary days always lead to racing thoughts and anxiety, so that's not for me, but this is mildly uplifting for a while, sort of like caffeine. Maybe I'm a super lightweight and sensitive to THC (under 1% in my jar from Terrapin Farm in Pennsylvania) and eventually I'll need to blend it, but I think the 19% CBD is super helpful to me. I'm glad it exists in a fast-acting format (flower, as opposed to CBD gummies or oil). PS, anything I got from Terrapin Farm so far has been super fresh, aromatic, and not dried out at all.
