It's great to walk into a shop where everyone is friendly, outgoing and engaging. They always have a good selection, there is plenty of parking and it's easy to get to. All-in-all, a great shop to visit.

**UPDATE** I had 2 main reasons for complaining about my experience: 1). As someone who works in retail (including management), I would be upset to find my business was failing (or doing less than spectacular) because of a rogue employee. It only takes one bad apple to ruin the whole bunch, especially if that person is in a management role. I would rather have an unhappy guest give me the chance to correct the situation and retain their business, versus walking away, never doing business with us again and spreading the word re: their unhappiness. I was attempting to give Lightshade that opportunity. 2). Truth-be-told, I really wanted the penny joint. I completed the requirements for the promotion and wanted what I was promised. As I would expect from any organization that considered themselves professionals, not only did Lightshade reach out to me but had one of the Big Wigs of the company do so. Mike, the VP, contacted me via email and profusely apologized and let me know he had spent all morning trying to piece together what happened. Without divulging the inner-workings of their organization, let’s just say, the problem was identified, corrected and is now being used as a training tool for the future. In addition to the apology, Mike personally invited me back into the Lightshade of my choice, offering to have the manager take care of me personally. I let him know that I always enjoyed my experiences at the other Lightshade locations and regularly visited the one on Sheridan. When I got to the Sheridan location, I found that Mike totally kept his word. When I handed the lady my ID and told her I was instructed to ask for Jose or Trent, she stopped the person walking by and said “Please let Jose know that Andrea is here”…they were anticipating my arrival! Mike had kept his word. And as I have every other time at the Sheridan location, my experience was Top Notch. The staff here is always friendly and chatty and curious about you as a person. They treat you like a human and not a number. That is what I love. I’m glad to see that my experience at the Peoria location was an isolated incident. I will continue to make Lightshade my go-to shop!

The staff is always very friendly, they have a decent selection & lots of parking. All-in-all, a great shop to visit.
