Bodhi's Charms

6/25/2017
>Note to self: stop writing reviews when you're high as hell... your reviews aren't as helpful when you do that. >Note to self: don't stop smoking Lucky Charms!! wait.... hmm.... Which note do I listen to? 🤔 Screw you "don't write a review note", you're not the boss of me!! okay-- so Lucky Charms is a bit on the potent side. if you're a novice smoker, I would start off small. That said, make sure you don't miss out! lucky charms took a minute to feel for me (I contemplated taking a second bong hit -- glad I waited a little) but once it kicked in, it is incredible! I feel a nice body high in all limbs but I'm still able to stand up/etc. Couchlock is not very strong (currently doing dishes/laundry). I was also exhausted before smoking but I'm pleasantly awake now. The head high brings a nice, relaxing pressure all over my head. I'm dancing around my kitchen singing reggae music to my cat and he seems very confused. Even though I feel clear headed and active, I'm thinking this strain is likely best for relaxing inside with some music, video games, etc. I don't have a whole lot else to say other than try this strain!

Maui Wowie

6/21/2017
location: Northglenn, CO THC: forgot to ask but best guess around 27% tolerance: moderate/easing towards high smoking tool: small bong/joints I've been meaning to write this review for quite some time but since I had a half ounce of it, I figured I would let a few nights of smoking pass to get an accurate review. This is definitely one of my favorite strains so far. After a stressful day at work, I can take a nice bong rip and then let Maui Wowie take care of the rest of the night. This stain is a bit of a creeper, which could normally give me anxiety, but Maui Wowie creeps juuussssttt right. Each passing minute becomes happier, funnier, and more entertaining. I would also say that Maui Wowie is one of the most creative stains that ive had. it not only brings me to a nice, almost forgetful, haze, but it also generates thought and creativity for me. if you struggle with anxiety and depression, I would make sure to try Maui Wowie next. it balls up all anxieties, worries, dark thoughts, etc and throat punches them harder than Chuck Norris beard. ok but for real tho I know this review probably ain't helpful cuz I definitely had planned more to say but like... I've had a lot of Maui Wowie and I'm just gonna enjoy my night now ✌:D

Stardawg

4/7/2017
Location: Docs Apothecary (Northglenn) Smoking tool: small bong Tolerance: Moderate (strong strains can still kick my ass but weak ones won't do much) This is probably the most well rounded hybrid that I've ever had. I would describe it as "Energetic Couch Lock" which is actually quite nice. Most hybrids would either be too much indica, causing me to be strongly couch locked and exhausted, or they won't have enough indica, causing me to miss out on the full body relaxation. Stardawg, however, was very pleasant. I was more awake, talkative, giggly, and relaxed. The nice cerebral/sativa high was paired very well with a full body relaxation that still allowed me to stand up and move around. I will note, however, that this strain was noticeably strong. I saw reviews mentioning it's strength before smoking so I made sure to only have small bong hits. But even those small hits were noticeable so I will warn novice smokers to use caution with this strain. I also would not recommend planning for an active evening out with friends for this strain. Stick to a solid sativa for that. But if you want to really enjoy a funny movie or video games at home, Stardawg is one of the best so far!

XJ-13

2/22/2017
Location: Doc's Apothecary THC %: "slightly higher than 23%" according to the dispensary Smoke accessory: small bong Tolerance: Moderate 1st hit: Started off playing some Madden after having my first bit of XJ13. The effects took a few min to come on but when they did, I felt great! There was a nice cerebral pressure, followed by depression relieving euphoria. I remember turning to my wife to tell her "I feel awesome!" 2nd hit: after the Madden game (30 min), I decided to watch an Episode of South Park. Had some more XJ13 and I was giggling my ass off. I felt super happy and really got to enjoy the episode. Shortly after that episode finished, my buddy texted me that he wanted to play some Battlefield One. 3rd (final) hit: Decided to have a decent sized bong rip when we started playing BF1 just so it would last a bit. Problem is, it was during this hit that I realized that I was not respecting the strain. I was getting used to having some 30% THC strains. Since this was at 23%, I figured I could smoke quite a bit. But the 3rd hit is what proved me wrong. XJ13 started to really kick in after our first BF1 match. The 2nd match had explosions, tanks, planes, etc going everywhere! I started to lose the good feeling I was getting from the first two hits and I was starting to fall into paranoia. On top of the paranoia, I heard EVERYTHING in my house. Laundry being cleaned, dishwasher running, cats eating food, BF1 game sounds.... all reverberating in my head. The sounds, on top of the sheer motion of the game, started to give me motion sickness and I ended up having a bad time. Overall: I definitely recommend XJ13. I really did feel amazing. Just make sure you do NOT disrespect the strain, even if 23% sounds light to you.
