I'm a 30 year veteran of cannabis and this is one of those select few places where a conisieur can feel right at home. It's weird for me being an old fart pushing 50 and seeing how the 20 something's of today have brought sooo much back which was lost in the late 70s and 80s in terms of quality and variety of strains. One of the signs of a quality shoo IMHO is serving only a select few strains carefully picked by a knowledge staff. I grabbed an 1/8 of hazy blue dream which was very nice, and just finishing vaping some 30 year reserve hindu kush that is causing me to hear King Crimson and feel 19 again. :) Don't mess with the 47 flavors kids, places like Sunrise is where people who know go. Glad I finally found out. :)))

Location is very nice and people are also very kind. The flowers are generally good. Like everywhere go for the fresh buds as curring practices are suffering everywhere and like most everywhere else rarely does staff have statistics THC, CBD lvls ect.. maybe the only good thing about full legalization will be a requirement to have proper stats and lineage on all cannabis products. Although good intentioned staff is mostly young and lack real knowledge about the flowers they carry beyond saying stuff like you would hear from a semi knowledgeable cannabis using friend. These problems I mention are found in almost every dispensary in Vancouver. Otherwise all things considered Karuna is in the top %10 of Vancouver shops IMO.

Brand new they are just getting setup. These guys are the only sellers of Rocky Mountain Chocolope 2012 Cup winner and Rocky Mountain Kush in town. An important place of note for refined bud tastes.
