I'm not sure what the sativa version on couch lock is, but Pineapple Punch has it! I'm an active hiker and like a sativa that will keep me going without too much introspective overhead. Pineapple Punch, unfortunately, isn't entirely that. A rater above indicated that the PP effects come in stages, which I definitely found to be true.. But not all those effects were conducive to enjoying nature or keeping on my feet. Something about PP made me want to drunkenly meander through the woods, which made me self conscious if I encountered other walkers. It also put me to a little bit of an introspective state that didn't 100% feel calming. It didn't send me into a negative downward spiral, but some negative thoughts did drift into my awareness. I will say that it gave me some feelings of grandeur, but when I got home to make those ideals a reality, I was at a loss and unproductive. It reminded me a lot of Dutch Treat, which also did gel with my lifestyle. The one thing that really impressed me about PP was the scent of the buds. I opened the bag and I got a waft of fruit and the flowers were slightly sticky. I just wanted to bury my nose into an entire lb of the stuff. And the descent from the high was very, very gentle. Alas, it wasn't the sativa for me. I would probably recommend it for an artist or musician to help with creativity, but not needing to leave home.

I got a Jet Fuel pre-roll the other day on a whim. I generally prefer sativas & just love Diesel lineage, so this seemed like a good one to try. I smoked some for the usual 2 hour walk at the dog park. It's actually a wooded area along a river where dogs to run off leash. Anyway, the Jet Fuel had me feeling totally relaxed, confident and a little more adventurous than usual. I strayed off the main path a bit to explore some patches of fruited wild roses for Rosehips picking and I stumbled upon some great picking! Jet Fuel had me feeling one with nature and really enjoying my environment. After getting home, I continued smoking Jet Fuel to do chores around the home. I wouldn't say it kept me energized, but it definitely supported my energy & focus levels to get things done. I felt like I was in a dream state pretty much all day and felt even better having gotten things done and having enjoyed my morning adventures. Jet Fuel is going to become a staple in my pot drawer.

I walked into my local pot shop and said "I have a migraine". The budtender suggested Shurman, and enticed me with the THC content as I much prefer sativas. I got the four pack pre-rolls from Solstice. Admittedly, I really had to smoke a lot to feel any effects, and I'm something of a lightweight, so that was disappointing. But once I got the right concentration in my system, not only was I relaxed, focused & able to get housework done, but my headache went away!!! While that was truly impressive, I can only give four stars because of how much it takes to medicate. Still, it's worth a go!

I'm a sativa lover for sure - I prefer strains that keep me active either to do a hike with the dogs or bang out some housework. I picked up a vape cartridge of Critical Jack primarily because I'm giving vaping a try and it was on sale and labeled a sativa-dominant strain. I've toked this one a few times and it absolutely amazes me! It keeps my energy up & my mind filled with creative ideas without making me loopy. It also elevated my mood and had me dancing to the music, literally and figuratively. This is a strain I can smoke all day long and each new toke just keeps the good feeling going without pushing me over the edge or crashing me out. It definitely takes the edge off while keeping me focused. I wish I were a medical mj patient cuz I would smoke this every day!

I got a cartridge of Skunk Haze as a foray into vaping. I got this because I tend to like haze lineage and skunk lineage strains and the combination was...ok. I smoked a little with Thanksgiving dinner and it was nice and relaxing with almost no other effects (no giggliness, no body sensation, no headiness, etc.) which I appreciated but I ended up smoking a bunch to stay in that zone. Despite the sativa dominance, I did not find this strain to be energizing, but I also did not find it sleep inducing (however I had no problems falling asleep within an hour of smoking). I think this would be a good after work strain to just take the edge off (especially the "mommy stress"), but not if you're looking to lose yourself in creative emotion or laughter. This could also be a good starter strain for anyone nervous about trying Marijuana for the first time.

I'm usually pretty sensitive to the effects of most strains, but this one did literally nothing for me. Granted I smoked a pre-roll so it could have been made with old, dry shake, but even still, damn! Nothing! I had high hopes for this strain and I was really let down. :(

What took me so long to try Blue Dream? This strain was really hyped up for a bit there and I ignored the masses, why oh why didn't I jump off the cliff with the rest? Blue Dream is absolutely incredible. The high is gentle, pain relieving and energizing. I spent the day walking around a local hilly park with flowers and all sorts of sites abound. Blue Dream made the day extra enjoyable, with no paranoia or disphoria. I felt introspective but creative and self- and other-compassionate and I could have walked, literally, in that beautiful dream state for eternity. The high never seemed to leave me and yet put me safely, soundly and kindly back on earth and leaving my mind kissed by its lingering presence. I found not a single downside to this strain and it will most definitely become a staple in my arsenal!

I really like the get up an go sativas, and I didn't find that Dutch Treat fit the bill. I'm a big fan of Super Lemon Haze and a budtender suggested Dutch Treat as a comparable strain. But I found Dutch Treat to be a much heavier high; very grounding and emotionally and physically stabilizing, but not the energetic kick I was looking for. On the flip side, this didn't induce any paranoia and left me feeling a little euphoric and creative. My hike was made more enjoyable in that regard. I think this strain would be a good pain reliever and can help with sleep.

I'm a little torn about this store. The quality of product that they carry is mostly high. Unfortunately the staff doesn't seem to understand their own products in terms of the growing and burgundy process, in fact I knew more about them than they did making my first experience there frustrating. For the most part, the staff was engaged with their customers and did want to be helpful, but seemed to delight more in being stoners and chill dudes than connoiseurs which was irritating for someone like me who is mature and takes my pot seriously. Again on the flip side, they seem to be carrying some products that I haven't seen at other locations which opens up possibilities for me. I will most likely go there again, but I will do my research before I walk in the door.

At first, I wasn't too impressed with this strain, but as the effects kept rolling over me the more I settled into it and really enjoyed it. I spent the afternoon lawn mowing, cleaning house and trying to write an article. I got a fair amount done (I felt energized) but my focus was a bit less on point - I was a little too introspective making the writing part of my day a little less productive. I did find that I was communing with and enjoying my pets a bit more than usual - green crack made everything more pleasant. Unfortunately, the next morning I had a terrible headache which I attribute to the Green Crack. I won't get this strain again and probably wouldn't recommend it to anyone.
