This highly coveted varietal was supposedly bred by two brothers in California back in the 1970's. According to history the brothers mixed a Mexican and Thai sativa with a Afghani Indica to create this beauty. History also says that the name "Trainwreck" was given to this strain because there was a Trainwreck that happened close to the two brothers grow site which made them harvest the plants early so it wasn't discovered by anyone. Trainwreck can be grown both indoor and outdoors but prefers the outside because of its sativa genetics making it taller than most but burly because of its Afghani influence. When grown properly this strain is should have a heavy sativa-like high giving users intense and energetic cerebral effects.

Trainwreck is a one of a kind pure sativa strain that is a favorite among both medical marijuana users and recreational smokers. The characteristic that stands out the most when describing Trainwreck is its unmistakably pungent smell. I do not recommend this strain if you have low thyroid function.  One hit made me feel almost comatose. I was so tired after trying it I could barely drag myself up to go to bed.
I gave it a 3 instead of one star because it may be good for the overly-anxious or insomniac.  Like a pure dose of Damitol. You could have set the house on fire and I wouldn't have moved. Well until I woke up in the middle of the night with a headache.

I feel like there is something wrong with me looking at all these great reviews and it was the reason I initially bought some of this strain.
 I do love a good kick ass Sativa However it does nothing at all for me. I don't even feel  a mild buzz it's so lacking.  
I will have to find something else to mix it with to doctor it up since too expensive to just throw out.
