I've been to La Mota on 52nd 4 times. The staff were welcoming, helpful, and patient each time. I think the best part of my La Mota experiences has been that the staff is fine with me spending some time looking at the menu and asking to see/smell/compare different strains. There's a whole wall of jars full of buds. The decor is kind of plain (sort of "institutional" feeling) and isn't necessarily inviting but they keep the lights appropriately low and there's usually music playing to soften the mood. Despite the "cold" first impression, I've found the simplicity to be an asset. It creates a distraction-free shopping environment. Its a pleasant contrast to the barrage of clutter so common in the retail world. There are several car parking spaces beside the building and 2 bike racks out front.
