Wellgreens Lake Murray is the very first store in the Wellgreens portfolio and still feels like the heart of the brand. We are tucked right off the 8 freeway on Lake Murray Boulevard in La Mesa, one exit away from SDSU. You will find us near 70th Street, just up from the Denny’s, next door to the API Behavioral Institute and directly across the street from the Shell gas station. There is additional parking in the lot behind the store in the Subway shopping center, so you are not fighting for a spot on busy days.

It is a perfect stop on your way to or from Lake Murray, the College Area, El Cajon or Santee, and an easy detour for people driving in from Sunset Cliffs, Mission Bay and nearby neighborhoods. The store holds a strong Google rating because it does the simple things right: big menu, honest pricing and a team that always puts customer service first.

Everyday low prices, best quality for the best price

Lake Murray was built around a pretty straightforward idea: give people the best quality you can at the best price you can. As the original Wellgreens location, this is where our pricing philosophy was really sharpened.

Here is what that means in practice:
- Everyday low prices across the board
- Deals and discounts that sit on top of real shelf prices
- A clear No Gimmicks approach

You do not have to watch out for small-print tricks. We keep pricing consistent and let the discounts actually be discounts. If you see a better price on the same item at another licensed dispensary, talk to the team. We will do everything we can to match it and keep your business here.

Our loyalty program adds even more value for regulars, and students, seniors, first responders, active military and veterans all receive ongoing discounts that stack nicely with everyday pricing.

Lake Murray carries a deep mix of products and brands, and the menu is always moving. New drops hit the shelves regularly, and the full menu is listed online so you can see what is in stock before you even leave the house.

You can shop however works best for you:

- Walk in, check in quickly and browse the store
- Order online for pickup through our wellgreens.store site
- Use the Wellgreens Dispensary app to place a quick pickup order at Lake Murray

Build your cart on the site or in the app, select the Lake Murray location and we will have everything ready when you arrive. It is ideal for people on their way to or from Lake Murray, heading to class at SDSU or Grossmont, or cutting between the College Area, El Cajon and Santee on the 8.

Customer service is the priority here. If you want to get in and out quickly, we will keep it efficient. If you want a more personal walk-through, the team will slow down, answer questions and help you compare brands, strains and formats based on how you actually plan to use them.

Hablamos español, so you can get that same level of detail and support in Spanish.

Top categories at this store are flower and edibles, and gummies are especially popular. People shop here for a mix of sleep support, pain relief, anxiety relief and straight-up recreational use. You will see plenty of customers building carts that hit both wellness and fun in the same visit.

Flower moves fast, but edibles and gummies have become a big part of the Lake Murray routine for many regulars who want something easy, discreet and long-lasting.

Because this is the original Wellgreens location, it has become a hub for some of the most talked-about strains in the portfolio. Manager and staff notes highlight a few standouts that move quickly here:
- Lights Out products, especially for sleep-focused edibles and Saturn OG
- Saturn OG as a heavy hitter for nighttime and deep relaxation
- Pandora’s Box from Oakfruitland
- Unrully OG from Blem
- Premium flower from Decibel, Lights Out, CBX and Blem

Strains you will hear again and again at Lake Murray include:
- Unrully OG
- Saturn OG
- Pink Acai
- Super Glue
- Watermelon Punch
- Miyasaki Mango
- Tangie Ting

They line up well with what people are asking for: strong, reliable options for sleep, pain, anxiety and end-of-the-day unwinding.

As a Wellgreens flagship, Lake Murray also carries the exclusive staples that define the brand:
- UP! flower and City Roots flower as core, dependable flower options
- UP all-in-one vapes when you want something grab-and-go without extra hardware
- Lights Out edibles as a go-to when you want real, noticeable nighttime support

The menu has options for every budget, from value picks to premium eighths and cartridges, all built around the idea of best quality for the best price.

Lake Murray saves you an extra errand by stocking full smoke shop essentials alongside the cannabis menu. In one visit you can pick up:
- Bongs, rigs and glass pipes
- Cones, wraps, rolling papers and tips
- Butane, lighters and torches
- Glass cleaner and basic care products
- Eye drops and other small session accessories

It is set up so you can walk out with your flower or vapes, plus everything you need to actually enjoy them.

Lake Murray sees a real mix of people and that is part of what makes it feel like a true neighborhood spot. You will see:
- Locals from La Mesa, the College Area, El Cajon and Santee
- People coming from Sunset Cliffs, Mission Bay and surrounding parts of San Diego
- Students from SDSU, Grossmont College, the greater Grossmont area and Cuyamaca College

A broad range of ages and backgrounds, all looking for a store that respects both their budget and their time

Some customers are focused on sleep, pain and anxiety. Others are here to stock up for weekends, lake days or time with friends. Either way, the team is comfortable meeting you where you are, whether you are brand new to cannabis or you have been at it for years.

If you are looking for a La Mesa dispensary right off the 8 that combines a big, evolving menu, strong pricing, high Google ratings, real customer service and full smoke shop convenience, Wellgreens Lake Murray in La Mesa is the original spot to start.
