I started coming to Varda in late 2023, and it’s become a staple ever since. LA has no shortage of good product, but what keeps me coming back to this location is the care from the staff—especially Aliyah and Rustin. Both are incredibly thoughtful, knowledgeable (product, science, and industry), and genuinely invested in helping you find what fits your needs, whether you’re in a rush or looking to learn. They’ve helped me consistently find products that support everything from creativity and introspection to pain relief and unwinding after long weeks. They know their craft and meet you where you’re at, including budget. The newer layout isn’t my fave—I miss the open-concept browsing—but the people make it worth it. If you’re nearby, stop in for Aliyah and Rustin and other wonderful staff like Jordan, Amy, Shane, and that tall bearded guy with the golden doodle dog whose name is slipping me.
