A quick trip to celebrate our anniversary took us to Lume in Kalamazoo. Went out of our way to visit Lume bc the product looked superior online, reviews were ok but I was really excited about the Lume Rocks. I can't say whether they were good, bad, or ugly bc we were turned away once we arrived.
After 5 hours in the car we pulled in with just 5 minutes to spare. The two "security" guys saw us arrive and walked inside anyway turning off the lights so we'd take a hint. It was damn near closing time, I understand that is not convenient, however acting as if they didn't choose to turn us away, as if the system shut off on its own, that's utter bullsh*t. Wouldn't it be set to turn off after close at 9, if its automatic at all? Smell that bullshit? Yeah we did, too...
We tried to explain it was a pre-order & ready to go, it would've taken seconds to complete the transaction, in fact the conversation took 3x as long as it wouldve taken to look at my id & exchange $ for products! But the big bad gatekeepers delighted in telling us how they turn people away every day. He laughed as if it's his favorite part! Make no mistake, this twat enjoys wielding his illusion of power over customers. Who happily tells a customer spending hundreds of dollars (or trying to anyway) that they are glad to turn away customers daily? The text confirmation said I had until 9pm. Crazy idea, If you close before 9 perhaps don't say pick ups until 9. I've taken many last minute customers in my years of working retail. Sure it sucks to stay a second longer at work than you have to, but typically your customers appreciate the sacrifice & you win a return customer, a great review, genuine gratitude... not for Lume, they say Fu*k ur time & your $.
It's OK though because I went elsewhere and was very impressed by the outstanding customer service & pure fire product.
So before any out of state consumers decide to try Lume, don't you waste a single second on these twats, I recommend you look into Exclusive instead. I promise they'll be more appreciative of your business & time.
