’23, what a year! Coming to Illinois and growing seeds that have been kept tight for years. Much like the seeds, the mother to #23 Headband has been a mystery, a hoax and sometimes in the right place, a treasure.

IC holds a copy of the original Headband and these plants are her offspring. LA,OG escaped to Nor-Cal ... it is super difficult to grow, never has impressive lab results, and the returns to hash are minimal. With all that said, this sometimes barely hitting 22% THC wonder has brought heavy users questioning their next move and new comers to their knees.

All flower and no trim, IC Collective pre-rolls pack a punch. Flowers are hand trimmed and sorted, put through a grinder, and then knocked into 1 gram joints. We utilize Element Papers like we have for years because they burn evenly and allow for the full flavor effect. IC pre-rolls are strain specific, so they offer a great way to sample new strains.

All the lineage can be seen in our two phenos of Alley Cat. OGKB, Sour Band, Diablo, Chem Scout, Chem Dog. It purrs through the night and kicks you into gear in the daylight. The hash is full of flavor and has all the looks.

Pre-Roll (ALLEY CAT 1g)

A true ode to the heyday of Cookies in true Cookies fashion. We do not know when the exact conception of Bay Area Funk was - but we do know it brings all the funk. Perhaps the truest Cookie-forward strain in our genetics catalog, this strain brings us back to the pre-Legalization era when
Thin Mint was the cut to have.

CTC, or Chi Town Chem, is the most perfect growing plant - the flowers are beautiful with big, round tops that radiate like the aurora borealis while growing. Of the Chem Dog hybrids, this is one of our favorites! The weed smokes like a boss and puts you on track for success.

Pre-Roll (C.T.C. 1g)

This plant is the offspring of the original plant that resides in a California tissue culture lab. The original Cali Chem was produced from the same seed stock as Fog Dog. Keeping two plants from the same project is rare, but these cultivars had traits that Are so uniquely different that we did. This version of Cali Chem we found in the Illinois Pheno Hunt and it expresses itself more towards the Fog Dog with ripples of diesel and a sweet lingering taste of lavender gasoline. The effects can be a gradual lift or a blast into space.

Pre-Roll (CALI CHEM 1g)

Our love for the original Chem Dog spurred a fascination with cannabis that started in 1991. When we pop seeds from our collection that we have grown and reserved over the years, we are looking for good weed. And by good weed, we mean that it has to be better or comparable to the strains and terpenes we have cherished for over 30 years.

Chem 5 checks all our pheno-hunt selection boxes - awesome structure, smell, smokability, and it is fun to grow! This strain is a Chem Dog 91 offspring that brings the past to the future. Heavy on the Chem in smell and high, with a contemporary structure producing subtle hues of purple that create an indica leaning hybrid.

ICC’s founder was one of the original testers of the Dogbud seeds Chem 1, 2, 3 and 4 when they were broken out in the early 2000’s. Those plants were discarded after testing and the original Chem 91 remained our favorite Dog. Coincidentally, this pheno’s identifying number during our in-house testing was ‘Chem 5.’ After a few test rounds and a few high fives, the name Chem 5 stuck as an ode to the past and a look to the future.

Brought to life by Chemdog himself in 2000, Chem D hails from the same magical ounce of Dogbud that contained the 13 seeds that gave life to the Chem family of genetics. It is often referred to as the GOAT by its believers. Opening up a jar of “D” is like cracking a brand new can of tennis balls while standing in a puddle of gasoline.

Pre-Roll (CHEM D 1g)

IC Collective’s fruitiest strain tastes like ripe melons and is a myth buster. People think Chem Fruit is a Sativa because of the word “Fruit”—but she finishes quicker than any plant in the room with very big, orange buds.

Chem Scout is an award-winning IC Collective creation. It was the 2014 NorCal Cannabis Cup Indica champion and in High Times magazine’s Top 10 Strains of 2018. Chem Scout is the quintessential, laid-back, Bay Area strain. Dense, rock-hard Cookies spring forth with a fuely finish on the nose. A little spicy and a little sweet, our Chem Scout is a winner that will leave you in the clouds.

Ego Krush is a blast from our past and the Illinois interpretation of Crossroad Chem. This strain is meant for the late night sessions that help you enter deep thought. As you pontificate the meaning of life, remember that cannabis is grounding and Ego Krush will help your soul touch down. Smoke enough of this strain and your whole perspective on life might also get blasted. Ego Krush won’t melt your face, but it will provide one good trip down memory lane.

Pre-Roll (EGO KRUSH 1g)

Limited space in California’s facility made it impossible to test all of the seeds that Fog Dog produced in a surprise pollen event in 2016; the 2023 Pheno Hunt in Illinois gave us a chance to re-visit the seeds from this beauty. Not straying far from the lineage, it is an impressively resinous OG-like flower with a sweet back end. The extracts highlight the sweetness and delicate nature of this cultivar. This plant is for the elevated tolerance heads and the folks looking for liftoff.
