About this product
Lineage: Hawaiian x Trainwreck
Historical Context: "It's almost a shame to smoke it. It's like killing a unicorn, with like, a bomb." - Saul from Pineapple Express. While its name suggests it comes from the Island chain in the Pacific Ocean, its origins are unknown and disputed. Seth Rogen claimed that he and fellow Pineapple Express co-writer Evan Goldberg created the strain in association with the movie and named it after an atmospheric river. However, there is evidence that Pineapple Express was first bred in the Netherlands in the early 2000s. While disputed, the movie made the strain into an icon and is cherished by fans of cannabis across the globe.
Breeder: Unknown, possibly Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg
Flavor and Bake Description: A sweet tropical fruit flavor with undertones of pine and earthy profiles.
