Culture Cannabis Club - Stanton

I would highly recommend putting a pause on coming to this location until they figure out their new system. While I understand a new system is frustrating to both employees and customers, we gotta try and work together here. I have been going here for probably year-ish since it’s perfectly located on my way home from work and I will say that my experience is usually amazing and the budtenders are usually beyond kind and amazing. I came to pick up an online order for two plug n play pods. Usually, the 20% discount is applied in store but I noticed last time I picked up, there was a sign saying you can use “pickup20” for a discount online instead. I try to use the code online and it says it’s expired. I’m not trippin because like I said, Culture is usually amazing. I get there and when I go to pickup my order it’s way more than what I was expecting. I figure, no worries because I remember when I was there earlier this week (1/6), a budtender said I had 30% off for being a first time customer. I said “oh really? Even tho I’ve been here before?” And he told me “yeah we’re honoring it for everyone since we have a new rewards system.” Since I picked up only one item I asked if it was okay if I saved it for a different time and he said yes. So back to today (1/11). When I ask about it, she says “oh well there’s no button for me to push anymore, are you sure you didn’t use it?” I told her I was sure since I remember double checking on 1/6 that I could use it later, however I tell her it’s not a big trip, I understand like you can’t do more than what the system is letting you. So I tell her I’ll just take the normal online pickup discount. She says the price is with the discount and I tell her I’m confused bc that’s how much it was without a discount online. Now, for context. Plug n play pods are listed at a discount price of about $33. Other brands also have items discounted at various rates, but some brands are full price. Plug n play is not one of their weekend sales. I let her know I’m a little confused and explain to her why, I try and pull up the website on my phone but it’s taking forever. I apologize to her for the lag but I just wanna show her the site. I explained I thought it was a brand discount they did on their own and the pickup discount would still be applied. I then told her that if there was a way, the website should be updated to say that the pickup discount will not apply to items already on sale, especially if it’s not listed on their sale for the weekend. She went and spoke to her manager and when she came back that the no pickup discount made sense for her. I was still a little confused so I asked for her to kinda explain so I can understand, she said “what you want a double discount?” I told her no I just think it needs to be clear that there is no discount on marked down prices. I let her know I was just confused because it’s been down that way for me before, but that it’s okay. And she goes “what they’ve done double stack discounts for you” and when I said yeah she said “well they weren’t supposed to. Technically you already got a big discount so…” and I said it’s fine. I then ask again “so like…the 30% was just a one day thing then?” And she says “well if you were an existing member he was probably doing it the one day bc the systems were changing over and it was a mistake.” Listen, at this point I could easily gone to the ATM machine and pulled out more money, but the condescending attitude she started having when she realized I wasn’t an in and out type of customer made me feel like I was just irritating her and she wanted me gone. So instead, I told her I will just purchase the one (and only bc I knew would help calm my anxiety and help me sleep) and asked her to close my account if she could. She goes “okay I’ll just cancel your order here” and I told her that I still wanted one but to cancel my account. She said there’s no way to cancel the rewards account and I said that was fine. When I came out I did kinda tell the front desk person and the security gentleman and they were both kind, apologetic, and honestly, how I’ve come to know the budtenders at Culture to be. We are all going through a rough time right now, I understand what it is to be frustrated and stressed while at your job, but we don’t have to spread a vibe like this. I can wait to come back once everything is running smoother and the budtenders are less stressed I guess.
