Gelato is a lovely, fruity tasting Indica dominant hybrid, top shelf with good reason. Steady, strong (20-25%) and not for newbies, Gelato is born of the parents Thin Mint Girl Scout Cookies and Sunset Sherbet (another strain I adore) and is almost too pretty to burn. Gorgeous orange pistils amid dark purple leaves – I’d love to receive a Christmas wreath made of it. The flavor is sweet citrus with a touch of wood, fresh and invigorating. This smooth and sultry smoke is going to give you the best of both worlds… a relaxing body buzz arrives instantly along with a stress-erasing euphoria. Great for easing muscle aches and pains, Gelato makes a magic potion of itself to chase away that headache, backache, or post-workout pain. I used it to relieve wear and tear on overworked muscles and forgot I even had muscles. Another lovely feature – it lasts. Set aside the entire afternoon for this long-lasting buzz, because you’re not driving anywhere for quite some time. Another reason Gelato is so well-loved is the beautiful effect it has on the mind, and this strain lives up to the hype. Cares and worries come into focus and are somehow managed and released. Paranoia isn’t invited to this party. I enjoyed the fact that it didn’t melt me into the couch, and I continued to have energy enough to enjoy music, do the dishes, and garden without feeling groggy or draggy. The head high was a little spacey, but in a fun way. It definitely completely erased that “general anxiety” feeling that usually rides in the back of my mind. An optimistic weed, indeed. Five Stars!
