Love this dispensary. Always nice, have great discounts and great products. Shop is always super clean!

My LEAST FAVORITE ONE IN NJ; and I have been to all but 2. Unfortunately it’s the first one I ever went to in NJ and almost turned me off for good! The staff is rude rude rude!!! And not just to me- I heard that from several people in the store and people who went to the store on another day. I’m from Oregon and I didn’t know that the rules are different here but they were so mean to me on the second week they opened like I was supposed to know and have memorized what was available and what was not available in NJ. Unhelpful! Sold me cartridges till this day that no matter what smoke shop I go to, I can’t find a pen to fit?! That’s unheard of. Kind weed doesn’t even fit kind pens that I later tried to trek down after none of my 15 or so pens would work? I thought we’ll maybe Oregon pens are different but it even confused everyone in every smoke shop I went to. Wasted a ton of money on stuff that I can’t smoke and didn’t ask for, I wanted pre rolls and I don’t know how this crap ended up in my bag, but it ended up in my friends bag too and she had the same exact problem. They don’t like answering questions. The menu was foreign to me coming from the wide variety sold on the west coast and it didn’t explain anything. Just names. No CBD/THC count. No explanation of stevia, hybrid, or indica. No indications of what they do like this site. I explained exactly what I wanted. A Hybrid or Indica that helps with pain, with a high CBD count if possible and low thc count. They looked at me like I had 39 heads. Someone behind me in line was nice enough to help me but said I should get this and that pre roll etc and when I opened up the dark packaging at home, it wasn’t the pre rolls I expected but rather some other kind of of “kind oils” that doesn’t fit into any pen I have been able to find in Oregon or NJ. Supposedly NJ only sells what it grows I heard online so that sucks too. Luckily the other dispensaries are much more helpful. The only good thing I can say is that it was a pretty store, the lines were really short for the second week of selling recreationally in NJ and the police outside had everything organized. Inside though pretty was disorganized. Terrible terrible staff and I consider it the worst dispensary I’ve ever seen before in CA, OR, NJ, ( I’ve yet to see 2) NY, and NV. Sad but true..

Horrible flower. All 4 plus months old. Smelled like hay. Dirty groggy high on both flavors one of them being a COOKIES brand. Just stay away from this place if you value your smoke or your money. ABSOLUTE LETDOWN 💯

This place cancels your order whenever they feel like it. The dude who answers the phone is impolite and quite frankly not very helpful, like dude don’t make us stoners look bad with your bad attitude and shit customer service. Sincerely, I’d rather go to zenLeaf, a fellow customer service rep.

NJ recreational dispensaries all pretty much sell the same local brands, but Apothecary seems to be the highest price for the same product. They are also Very misleading with their website. My experience…Went to their site, specifically clicked on recreational menu. Was brought to a menu and there was a note that you could sign in for the medical pricing, which confirmed to me that it was the recreational pricing. Drove the 35 minutes there, asked for the items on the menu, and was told that recreational was only what was on their paper menu. I tried to show that the menu specifically comes up when you click adult recreational use menu, he didn’t want to hear it. The online menu showed 7g for $100. In store the only option was 3.5g for 65, for the bud that’s 3.5g for 60 or 7g for 100 elsewhere, or 3.5g for 60, for the bud that’s 3.5g for 55 or 7g for 80-95 elsewhere. I asked if there was any 7g option, and was told “yeah, but two 3.5g and you get 7g”. Thanks for the math lesson, but that’s 120-130 for what’s 80-100 elsewhere. They also charge 30 for the gummies that are 25 everywhere else, but I asked what they had for indica gummies and was told they would not had strawberry lemonade…so I said I’d just take a pack of those. I left and went to the next dispensary that isn't a ripoff, got 7g for 90, went home and realized the strawberry lemonade gummies are sativa. Can’t even use them. Bottom line, while they have all the same great stuff available, save your money by going literally anywhere else.

I found the staff to be very friendly and knowledgeable of the product they sell . The young lady at the reception desk was really sweet . I am not native to this area so I had no idea what kind of neighborhood it was in . I used WAZE to get me there . Well I got really lost . The further away I got the neighborhood looked like it could be dangerous . I’ve smoked since I was 13 and I’m 63 now . The prices were outrageous . When I walked in I felt so much safer . I drove through some shady streets . I’m going to shop around . I drove down to my old stomping grounds and found a place in Deptford NJ . Place was clean and set up well I’d go back there again . If you get lost easily this place isn’t for you . I was terrified I was going to get shot . I don’t think I will be returning to this dispensary. The prices are outrageous . When traveling we stopped in Colorado . Trinidad Colorado . They had a whole street that had just dispensers . This made their prices way better . Maybe after Jersey has been selling it for recreational purposes for a while prices will go down . Until then I’ll continue to get it the old fashioned way lol .

Best dispensary experience yet in NJ for me in almost 4 years in the medical program. Atmosphere, wait and service was a 10. Upon entering I was greeted immediately, and brought to, after my brief new patient intake info gathering, to an available budtender. Which was good to see despite it being a Friday night, as the place was really hopping and quite busy, This was exciting, an ATC that has enough help so you don't sit there for an hour. This place is run well and you can tell just from the little time I was there. I was in and out in less than 15 min and as a first time patient and an issue with my order that had to be corrected by a manager (was a simple mistake). The product selection was amazing. They have what your looking for, and just an unreal selection of their own Kind tree and other vendor brands of cannabis products. They have been at it a while now even in NJ and the product is getting much better which I was hoping for and why I held out from there for a while at first. But man I cannot wait to go back and try out some other selections. The GSC flower is old school, good bud which is what I was there for. And at 33.4 percent you cannot beat it the stuff is just amazing. Overall outstanding experience and I will be back again soon! Highly recommended!

Went to the store when the cookies drop happened. Why am I paying gas prices on dried out bud?? shit turned into a dust pile instead of bud. And why is the package date 4 months old? And you want black market prices, this aint good for the dispensary and making gage and cookies look bad selling that garbage

I have been a medical patient here for over a year. In the last few weeks they raised the prices to rec prices for medical without explanation. They also sold me two pax vape pens and again without warning said they are only selling their own cartridges - no more pax and that I would have to buy their pen to be compatible. What am I missing here ? This seems shady

Previously gave a 1 star and review was deleted. This place have product on line- up arrival - bud is out. Went back at home- bud on line is available. False advertisement. They sale old bud. Product I purchased today was packed on January 2022

I love the Maplewood location. Great buds at Great prices with great friendly budtenders. Sure I could go elsewhere but why?

Despite having to travel 40 minutes without traffic I truly LOVE this dispensary! From the moment you walk through the front door you are greeted by the Staff, they are always positive and welcoming. The Staff is professional and know their stuff regarding strains and various product types. IMHO, simply put they are just are great bunch of people who really enjoy their jobs! Until I have a reason to go elsewhere (closer distance), this is my Primary Dispensary.

This was my first recreational shopping experience in New Jersey and has set the standard of what I hope to expect across the state. The customer service is uplifting. The location is central. The atmosphere is calming. I feel safe shopping here. I am currently enjoying the Fallen Soldiers Flower and the quality is amazing. I can't wait to go back!

Shop was friendly and knowledgeable. Nice clean open space. You can browse around and smell different strains before purchasing. Bud quality was A1

Bait and Switch -- Do not recommend it. They advertised a sale product. I purchased it for next-day pick-up. NP. I get confirmation that evening -- got the goods - discount applied. I left early the next morning-- I get to Maplewood and the Manager tells me that the promotion is no longer valid. -- I had to pick it up on the day I ordered it. WTF? I asked him to explain to me how on a product that is on sale until Jan 30 (and sold me with a written confirmation) you can can just change the price when I am here in the store. His answer .. was that it was in his right to change it and not honor any communications sent out to patients. If that is not the definition of bait and swith nothing is. I hope a couple of bad apples do not ruin the progress we have made in NJ in giving patients access to alternative therapies. I am all about making informed decisions. I hope this helps.
