When I first walked in I was welcomed with open arms. I am very grateful in having the chance to reconnect with one of the budtenders Taylor who was very friendly and helpful. I recently had a bad experience. The bud tender recently gave me the wrong product. It was the correct brand ,but the wrong strain. I imagine the mix up happened due to the weird behind the counter system instead of putting the product in the bag as they go. That wouldn't be a big deal. Except they wouldn't let me return an unopened product with a receipt. At that point it feels very shady. Expically when it was the stores fault. So now I am stuck with a product I didn't ask for. I guess that what happens when you put the product other product some of which being the same thing with the same brand ,but different strains. This is the only bad experience I have had at a dispo.

I’ve been going her for two years now. The people are great at helping you find what you want within your price range (instead of over it like most dispos). The product has been inconsistent recently. Every brand I like they don’t have. And haven’t had for weeks. I’m always waiting for product that never comes.

This review is for the Mint Cannabis located at 5747 S. Westnedge Ave, Portage, MI 49002. I had been going there since the beginning of 2024. I was expecting their product to be something better than I could grow myself, but it was not even as good. I was very disappointed. In October of 2024, I purchased some expensive Black Sherblat. I got home and it was eleven months old, dry, very little taste, and I didn't feel any effect from it. I know that marijuana can be good up to a year and a half "IF" it is stored properly in a cool, dark environment. This was not stored properly, Just like a food product, once it's out the door, there are no returns. I wasted over $200 on basically what I would consider to be marijuana flavored tobacco. I also have purchased some Bubble Hash at this location. The first time, nearly half of it was gone because someone had surgically removed it. I didn't know this until the second time I purchased Bubble Hash and got nearly twice the amount of the first time. This location seems to have a lot of family members in management, and they give out incorrect information. Telling me that light can improve the potency of marijuana? In the real world, once it is clipped, light is something to be avoided. They have on display ounces in glass jars that are exposed to light over twelve hours a day. I was also told that the amount of THC in marijuana doesn't always mean it is going to be more potent? For me, a marijuana smoker for over 40 years, the higher the THC content, the higher I get, or better buzz from it. That is also exactly what I have found in marijuana purchased at Mint Cannabis at 5747 S. Westnedge, Portage, MI 49002. Every time I go to this location, I must check the grow date, is it from a good strain and what is the THC content? Luckily for me, I know these questions to ask. The average customer would have no clue. I don't feel comfortable going to this location at all for this reason. The security they have act like they like they are selling gold, not pot. I would not go to this location any more if you paid me.
