Every time I drop in, it’s like coming home. Staff are all very friendly, knowledgeable, and eager to help. Pricing and availability of a variety of products and delivery systems are consistent and affordable. The specials, “clear the vault” offerings, and repeat customer discounts are more reasons to keep visiting. Damian was my first contact, and cemented my loyalty and continued patronage with his professionalism and kindness. Run, don’t walk, to Akron’s best dispensary!!

Yes, the recreational prices are wild but as a former medical patient, they aren't incomparable. I'm not going to penalize the dispensary for the current climate around pricing. They made changes since going rec that are excellent; ordering via kiosk, debit options, decent parking...it's a bit cramped at times but the ordering is so efficient you don't notice. Definitely recommend The Botanist to anyone who's just starting out with legal cannabis.

It should be illegal charging these prices. This isn't some fun thing I do with my friends on the weekend, it's medicine that I depend on! I don't care if I have to get it from some thug on the streets, I won't be returning.

Good vibe on Opening Day, easy to shop, friendly staff that is knowledgeable. The prices are crazy but at least prohibition is over!

The Botanist is a very average dispensary. The wait times can be pretty long if they're busy. Their products are overpriced. I definitely won't return after they start selling recreational. It'll make the problems they already have 100x worse.

This place is becoming a joke put a order in at 9:15 AM before they were open and now I'm off work about to go there they call me and say oh yeah we can fill your oder wanna try something that's 80 dollars and what I was getting was 22 like that's a joke on top of that it was a pre order. Just make sure when you go to order something they actually have what you want! They don't tell people this things they just call you last second and say oops yea we don't have what you want and all we can do in suggest something that is out of your budget! SO UNPROFESSIONAL AND WHAT A JOKE!

Great budtenders, prices could be lower, but their security guards are creeps. They are armed and are looking for an excuse to use their guns. Last I was in there, I watched a newer security guard watching the surveillance monitors with her hand on her pistol the whole time, then rushed after someone who was minding their own business. The worst one is a guy named Morgan. Morgan has harassed me numerous times. 1st time was when he saw my keychain sticking out of my pocket. When we got into the vestibule area he cornered me, put his hand on his gun and asked me what I had in my pocket. I showed him my keys and he eased up. The second time, I was talking to someone else about my being indigenous and he butted in and asked: "What are you an Indian?" 4th time he made mention of my nail polish (i'm a man) "What are you painting your fingernails now?" None of his business. 5th time I made my purchase and was waiting out front for a ride and he came out and hassled me and said I couldn't be out there, which is a lie, there are residents and employees who are in front and around the building a lot. That's 5 times this jerk has hassled me. I tried contacting the people who run the place but none of my calls nor emails were returned, so I guess I will leave my complaint here. I will never spend another single cent in this place, so long as they employ racist guards who are police rejects with itchy trigger fingers.

Was my first time to a dispensary so i had no idea what to expect. Greeting staff was friendly and kind and answered questions in a polite tone. Bud Counter worker seemed very friendly and ordered my products as i listed them. Waited inside for about 10 minutes and order was completed. On my second visit i used curbside pickup which, would have been great had the guard who watched me pull in and sit in my car, sat in his truck and ignored me for a good 10 minutes. The next car in was a pretty lady so he practically leaped out of his truck to wait on her. In the end i had to ask him if i was supposed to speak with him. After that, the service was great.

The staff at this location have been super helpful with recommendations and teaching me about the basics of cannabis. Love visiting here! Wish it was a bit cheaper, otherwise I love this dispensary!

I have been to this location before two other times and they were great experiences. unfortunately the last visit I placed an order over the phone. I believe an hour before arriving.upon entering I realized they were busy as I waited at least 20 mins on the phone order before I could start. I placed my order arrived at the location after a 34 minute drive exactly .they let me in the door where I checked in. My name was called I stood up and was lead throughout the building as stuart somebody as i believe my name was mixed up somehow.After reaching the final dispensing room. I watched 5 people who entered after me some of them not having an online or over the phone order placed recieve service before me. It wasnt until they called this stuart fellows name that I informed them I had possibly been let in under such a name. As stuart clearly was not in the room. They informed me they knew I wasnt stuart and then checked my name and information again. Upon discovering what my order was they informed me I just had to wait a little longer while they got my order together. so in total recap...I called them at 1pm waited 20 mins on the phone drive another 40 mins to the location and waited in total another 30 mins through the fiasco of who I was and another 10 minutes to put together my preorder. I really do prefer this location to others in the area. however if you can avoid ordering on the weekend as it is going to be nothing close to a quick trip.

The Botanist is the best. The staff is helpful and friendly and the product selection rocks.

The Botanist has great weed, but the Akron location was terrible. Bad communication between all the employees obviously and I would drive almost an hour here for my favorite strain because it's one of the only places that has it, but it's not worth it. I would not recommend.

I can only speak from experience but, I went in for my first time today. I have experience but don’t really know much about the advanced oils and tinctures etc. I had Alexa I believe is her name in Akron. From the time I walked in till the time I met Alexis my budtender, I had nothing but positive vibes and a comfortable feeling when I was uncomfortable to start. I would highly recommend stopping in and trying for yourself! I like the tinctures and vapes for certain ailments. Flower is most effective long term imo

I'm going to be as honest as possible. I think its really important to share your experiences in medical dispensaries so others know whether or not to spend their hard earned money. The Botanist was...... ok. And just ok. It was my first time at an Ohio medical dispensary, so I didn't know what to expect. I came in knowing I was looking for flower that helps with pain and depression. That's all. So..... the atmosphere was cold. They attempted to make it look all floral and natural by sticking a bunch of plastic plants all over..... but it was far from impressive or welcoming. My budtender knew NOTHING about their products. I watched him before I went into the back, he was joking with staff and seemed friendly, so I was excited when he was my budtender...............I asked him for a recommendation for a strain good for pain and depression, his response was "well I don't have my card, so I don't really know." He then immediately tried to sell me on gummies and was offended that I wasn't interested. He became snobby,, lost interest and walked away after maybe a minute of service, so a 2nd budtender came over and was...... somewhat more helpful. They were both extremely awkward and seemed to know little about what they were selling. Product: I bought ice cream cake and motor breath.... expensive as all hell once you factor in state, city and county taxes. The weed is.... EH at best. Im someone who suffered from EXTREME daily pain and rely on cannabis to help, im disappointed by the level of pain im still in. I've had way better and way better service and WAY better product. I'd expect medical grade marijuana to blow my socks off compared to what you get elsewhere. I wasn't impressed.

Everyone is very helpful and polite. The phamacist helped me get a discontinued product back and realizes that this is medicine and not an excuse to get high. She was prompt to return emails and calls on the matter. She also helped me find replacement products until we got Shark Shock back in stock. I have been to several other dispensaries and this is the one I prefer. It is clean. Staff is always polite, mature and responsible. They are efficient and quick. I highly recommend the botanist.

I am a caregiver for my friend with stage four pancreatic cancer and accompanied him to purchase his first medical marijuana. The staff was very accommodating and helpful! Our counselor took her time to explain everything about medical marijuana including the different ways each one works and which ones would help my friend the most for the problems he is having. she explained the different routes available to purchase such as gummy ‘s, tincture, cream, vapor . She answered all of our questions thoroughly. Everyone there was very professional and the facility is immaculate. Thank you so much for spending time with us today. Your kindness will always be remembered.
