IF YOU APPLY FOR A JOB HERE BE WARNED
I joined Wholesome Co. after being warned that my role was considered the “death position,” and unfortunately that reputation turned out to be accurate. The position largely exists to compensate for poor management rather than to support team success. Many employees, including leads and supervisors, have prior management experience — except for the current manager, and the lack of leadership knowledge is very noticeable in daily operations.
Despite being salaried, the manager frequently leaves during peak business hours and is rarely present when the team needs support the most. What makes this more frustrating is the clear double standard: when the manager leaves early for a personal or family emergency, it is accepted, yet employees are ridiculed, disciplined, or written up for doing the same under similar circumstances.
Scheduling practices are another major concern. Employees are frequently asked the same day to come in early or stay late, even though union rules prohibit last-minute schedule changes of this kind. Additionally, employee availability is often ignored when schedules are created. Staff members have been disciplined or even terminated for not working shifts that directly conflicted with their documented unavailability, putting employees in impossible situations where they are penalized for boundaries the company previously approved.
Workplace policies feel inconsistent and selectively enforced. Employees often learn rules only after being disciplined for unknowingly breaking them, creating an environment where people feel set up to fail. There is a strong culture of retaliation across departments, and many employees are afraid to speak up due to fear of termination or immediate escalation to final warnings.
Benefits and scheduling policies also feel inequitable. Many employees are kept part-time, which appears to limit eligibility for company-provided insurance benefits. Sick leave policies vary significantly by department, with some teams receiving noticeably better treatment than others. For a company centered around patients, employees often feel they are treated with less care and understanding than customers.
A particularly concerning issue involves medical documentation. Employees have reportedly been accused of falsifying doctor’s notes if verification calls do not result in confirmation — even though medical providers cannot legally disclose information without violating privacy laws. Several employees have allegedly been terminated under these circumstances, which has created fear and distrust among staff.
Within fulfillment, there are also serious concerns about fairness and professionalism. The fulfillment manager’s behavior has felt discriminatory toward women, while male employees who skip work, leave early, or fail to complete responsibilities appear to face little or no accountability.
One of the strongest leaders on the team — a lead with over eight years of management experience — was overlooked for advancement and has since left the company. Her leadership was widely credited with keeping morale high and operations running efficiently. Since her departure, many employees feel the team has lost its primary source of stability and support.
Overall, my experience at the Bountiful location has been marked by inconsistent leadership, unequal policy enforcement, scheduling practices that disregard union guidelines, and a workplace culture where employees feel undervalued and unsafe speaking openly. Significant leadership training, accountability, and structural change would be necessary to improve morale and retention. Until meaningful changes occur, I would not recommend applying for positions at this location.

They forgot to bag one of my carts they said they sent it from what I can gather don’t waste your time with wholesome co be sure to open up you order and make sure everything is in the bag they can’t be trusted

Great customer service, Clean operation but I have a problem with some of the products quality control. I feel like some products are very good 👍 but it's a gamble. Sorry management, I would have given 5 stars if not for this problem. I will return but will base my choices on experience.

I was turned away after getting inside and having all my products picked out because a former Wholesome employee didn’t save my consultation after completing it a month prior, and turns out there wasn’t anything anybody could do to help, so it was a complete waste of my time to drive from Draper to Bountiful on a Sunday, the only free day I had. Extremely disappointing .

I recommend exercising caution when considering hardware from this company. It appears they do not provide direct support for their products, which means you may need to reach out to the supplier for assistance. Unfortunately, my experience was not positive, as the device I received did not charge within the first 24 hours.

I buy a lot at wholesomeco. However I had a awful tasting cartridge it literaly smelled and tasted like ammonia. I put in a complaint, and they refused to give me a credit. When it comes to cartridges you have to be so carefull. They said we don't give credits based on taste. They said they would give me 10 dollars, the cartridge cost me 68.00. I'm not shopping there anymore.

Worked here, it’s bad. If you’ve ever wondered what their live resin carts are mostly made out of it’s floor droppings. Terrible operations after drying (cultivation actually does a good job), there is a reason that all their flower is dry and smells a lot like hay. They also always upcharge to give illusion of sales which is really scummy imo

I'm a senior, medical cannabis patient in Utah. I have had about a dozen deliveries from Wholesomeco over the years. I had high praise but over the past 6 months (2023-2024) I've seen pricing integrity issues to where they no longer are giving me a senior discounts and the specials have declined to where they are no longer competitive with other sources in my area. I will be using other sources in the future.

Wholesome was early to the delivery game in Utah, and they often listen to my product suggestions (having better vapes, and more RSO products). Their prices have come down on some products since 2020, but we still need more competition in Utah, to say the least. We also need more equity dispos. Still, I would continue to order more from Wholesome since I'm loyal now, even though other places deliver. Listening to customers is important. Trustworthy products are also important. Wholesome's delivery people are always nice which is also important since I'm too sick to visit their store much of the time.

I love wholesome and it's employees. I've only had one thing that got messed up and they corrected it immediately. I recently moved farther away and so I'm now use their delivery. I have never had a problem with any of my deliveries. I always try to make sure I at least have a good tip for the drivers. I've been going here since they open. I've looked at other places that are closer to me but I'm a loyal customer. Thank you

I've used them multiple times now. Online ordering and either delivery or drive through pick up service are both excellent. And, the products have all been high quality.

One of the employees made me feel like I should never come back. ( for reference I've been coming for years.. and have been buying nearly my monthly limit the entire time. So I've probably spent at least 15,000 in the store.
Employee a huge stink and insulted me. Over the matter of a literal dollar. $1.00
I'm not sure what I should to now. I guess go to The Flower Shop from now on.

They rip off the disabled people, open products and steal out of them. Then make up some lie about what happened, Megan wakes me up to toy with me with promos that don't work to get me to order, and then rip me off when promo don't go thru .

I have only used their online store and I find the layout to be clean, simple, informative, and easy to navigate. They offer free delivery for purchases of $50+. The delivery is always discrete and they give you multiple text updates on the status. This is a well run shop with great products and fair prices.

This Dispensary is amazing! The atmosphere is really chill and the employees will spend time answering ALL your questions. They have great knowledge of the products as well and can give helpful advice depending on your stage of cannabis journey. I contacted customer support and they generously resolved my issue quickly. So far, I have been really impressed with this Dispensary and it's my go to.

I absolutely LOVE Wholesome Co! Their staff is always friendly and are ready to share their wealth of knowledge about the products. Although I don't use their delivery service, my daughter, who is disabled, does, and really appreciated this invaluable service to the community. Special shout out to Megan, who is always super awesome!
