I really liked my first one that I bought last year, until it died and the return process was a pain in the ass. I had to return it to the store where I bought it and they had to do the paper and leg work. More than a month went by and they sent me a new one. Different color, not cool, but anyway, I go to set up with my ipad and there is an update to the app from DaVinci, so I load it and my brand new DaVinci IQ start heating up and getting hotter and hotter and will not turn off even tho I'm frantically pushing the power button 5 timesl over and over again. Yeah, it got too frickin hot to hold... DaVinci's claim that it was acceptable is BS. I have owned a Pax and Firefly and a dinosaur butane-powered Iolite and not one of them ever got to the "hot potato" phase, The first Davinci IQ I had never got too hot either, so yeah, BS!
Another thing this replacement does is shut off if I knock it. Not hard, even a firm tap will shut it off in mid sesh. So, back to my not-so-amused vendor with a mindset that I will try ONE MORE time and then see if I increase the stars in my rating or not.
