Back in the day, if I could find it, AG ,kicked my ass. It was like the first serious weed. Everything else was leaf, seeds and stems.. Alls it took were a few hits off a skinny joint cuz the stuff was expensive. Today I caught an eight at $15...all flower. Today's version is right there with the Gary Payton, Runtz experience at around 20% thc.. and Im glad to see it available. Very sticky filling up a 3 hit bowl for the bong. Nice round honey kinda tastes. Easy on the throat and lungs.As a young man I had no educated pallet to even consider tastes and flavors of the weed. And thats what the high is like, energetic with no sharp edges, everything is round and at a slower time frame to enjoy observing and doing and long lasting without a indica bring down...reminds me of how Northern Light takes one to unique indica highs, AG is a unique sativa high.; Outdoors in a later afternoon on a warm sunny day . If it was named anything else it would still be a , "keep some in the cabinet at all times"..

Exploring all the possibilities that would and could replace my favorite flower to smoke, Runtz, I found Blue Dream hits me like Runtz just not as in depth., and I considered Runtz the near perfect distillation of the Gelato line. Then I read up on the AK1995 strain and effects and am glad I tried it. That was a a few years ago. Still a fave . ...Maybe not quite as smooth around the edges as Blue Dr or Runtz but it delivers a non headache energetic high that I keep on my shelf at all times. The Valley had it all over the place for a while. Today, Its getting hard to find. ..If you don't need a heavy hitter , this will get you in a fun and good place. A good recreational use strain.

With 136 Cannabis dispensaries in Phoenix area alone..it's coming down to who carries what I like. GT has the classic Northern Lights. GT gets my money. ..even if the huge buds are a tad bit dry. Nice location with plenty of parking . It's a little tight inside but they know what they are doing with less than 5 minutes in/out for a will call order. The gregarious bud tender, Buck, keeps things easy and light.The basics are covered in their offered flower choices. They 'are not too worried about not having a strain thats good for hang nails and also has hints of a NEHI Orange Soda flavors...They use paper bags.The ziplock bagged flower goes into a paper bag rather than another ziplock bag..They printed on the outside of the bag their Shoppe logo and whatnot so I don't look like a wino at least..Good prices and availability of basics will keep me returning to Giving Tree.

That commercial property and the former Kmart building across the Hiway sat empty for too long. Good to see a success story going on there. Kmart should be turned into a homeless shelter..I mean..it already is. I haven't had any disappointments with Northern . It's become a bit of rote. Order on the internet , get there before noonish, in and out in less than 5 min might leave a rushed feel to the experience of answering what every bud tender (salesperson) has to ask, "So what are doing for the rest of the day?" Northern makes it official. Also a nice well lit presentation with hardly any discernible music..like..they know stoners got their own music going on in their head. Plenty of parking ..easiest access is On Northern Ave west bound..but there is access off of the frontage road to I-17 northbound. Sealed ziplock envelopes remain the norm while others have gone to the paper lunch bag thing. Maybe if they had their store Logo printed on their paper bags I would feel better about appearing a wino. Mint's ziplocks are universal so thatz one way to reduce costs..all Mints use the same sealed ziplock envelope..I ordered some Slurricane flower . Out of all the dispensaries in my vicinity, Mint had the best price and most important, availability ,of an already dated hybrid. Thanks for keeping some of the oldies around!
