A Disappointing Experience at Sunnyside
To Whom It May Concern:
I'm writing to express my disappointment with a recent experience at your Sunnyside dispensary. I have been a loyal and frequent customer, but unfortunately, my visit today has led me to cancel my order and decide to take my business elsewhere.
I attempted to redeem a bonus offer I received last week, which promised free merchandise with a $75.00 purchase if I shopped the following week. When I presented my offer, I was rudely informed that I needed the physical, printed receipt from my last visit to qualify. When I asked the representative if he could simply reprint the receipt or verify my purchase in your system, he scolded me for the request.
Another representative, who appeared to be a supervisor, was even more unhelpful. Without hesitation, he simply shook his head and said, "No can do, uh uh, no can do," claiming it was a corporate policy that prevents them from reprinting a prior receipt.
It's astonishing that in 2025, a company would have a policy that requires a physical receipt for a digital offer. I understand the need to prevent fraud, but it seems absurd that you would invalidate a customer's attempt to use an incentive even after you can verify their purchase in your system.
I sincerely hope Sunnyside will reconsider this outdated policy. In an age of digital coupons and rewards programs, requiring a physical receipt is a significant inconvenience and a surefire way to alienate loyal customers. I assure you that embracing modern, digital solutions would only help your business grow.
Sincerely,
A Former Frequent Customer
