Cannabis Re-Leaf - Eugene

This place hasn't been in business for too long, so I'm going to give them a measure of leniency on some stuff. Mainly, I was curious to check out their great deals at $7 a gram after tax. The showroom is very bare bones, and they only had about 6 or 7 strains of flower. They also have joints, and very few edibles...no concentrates are currently offered. The flower was nothing particularly special, but still better than most other stuff you can find at those rock bottom prices. I like the idea of specializing in affordable product, and I am a BIG fan of price listings that include tax. I think this place could really thrive on a model of simplicity with the budget conscious consumer in mind. They could definitely improve their decor and make the whole operation look a little more professional, but hopefully this will come as they settle in and evolve. As far as their menu on Leafly goes, they seriously need to list analytics on their menu! I want to know the THC and CBD levels for sure, and preferably the name of the farm that produced it. Not having this info listed on Leafly means I am less likely to frequent this dispensary. Managing your online presence is a MUST in this competitive market. I hope to see improvement and growth for this place in the near future.

Flowr of Lyfe

Today I remembered why I shouldn't even bother with this place. I needed to pick up a fresh vape cart on my lunch hour, so I decided to pop in and check out their cartridge selection...only to find myself totally underwhelmed by their offerings. The only reason thing that this place has going for it is the fact that it's in the Barmuda Triangle, so it's the go-to place for emergency weed stops during your bar crawl. Given their selection, pricing, and atmosphere, I feel it could best be described as a sort of lowbrow marijuana convenience store. There are too many dispensaries within walking distance for me to waste my time with this place.

Grasslands Dispensary

This little dispensary might be a little out of the way, but it's worth seeking it out for some amazing deals on flower. I picked up a couple strains here for 7 and 8 bucks a gram (AFTER TAX!) and have been very pleased with the quality of both. In addition to flower, they carry a small assortment of cartridges and other concentrates. Their selection isn't big, but it's hard to beat the prices here- I especially appreciate the price quotes that figures in the tax. The guys here have been super friendly and knowledgeable on each visit. Admittedly, it's not a fancy setup...but I appreciate the economy of decor and operations being passed on in such fair pricing. Who needs a super fancy showroom? Nice folks and good prices on quality bud; that's all you really need!

Moss Crossing

Moss Crossing is another good example of a dispensary that focuses of quality of selection over quantity. They may not have as many strains as other places, but those that do make the cut represent some of the highest quality flower available. Yes, these magnificent examples of weed are priced accordingly, but you are guaranteed a winner no matter what you select. Their selection of cartridges is well stocked and prices seem relatively competitive. Staff seems friendly and knowledgeable, plus they do offer a loyalty program. They do some great deals on bulk, however, I tend to buy frequently in smaller amounts to keep a rotating selection in my stash. Bonus: decent parking situation and conveniently located next to Friendly Street Market.

La Mota - Eugene

Ugh. I usually try to find some positive points for every dispensary...but my experience at this place really left me cold. The atmosphere here feels like it's trying to do a chic minimalist sort of thing, but it just comes off with a generic, budget version of a Mac Store. Their selection of both flower and cartridges seemed lacking, and prices were certainly nothing special. The day I went there I was looking for flower, so I asked to see and smell several different strains. I literally could find nothing (even on their top shelf) that appealed to me enough to purchase a gram. Additionally, I was really unimpressed with the two girls staffing the store that day. Neither of them smiled or really made an effort to interact with me much at all. It's not that they were overtly rude, but I got the sense that it was too much effort for them to smile or chit chat. I felt somewhat unwelcome and exited without purchasing anything. This town is way too competitive as far as dispensaries go for me to patronize such a lackluster operation like this.

The Greener Side

This was the first dispensary I ever visited, so it does hold a sense of nostalgia for me. Beyond that, I have to say it just isn't a place I frequent anymore. The service here has always been good. Budtenders here are generally both friendly and knowledgeable. The flower selection is okay, but even their top shelf we Send to phoneed picks look a little pale in comparison to some other dispensaries. Honestly, most of their top shelf stuff is really middle shelf, and should be priced accordingly. It's not that they have a terrible selection of flower- it's just nothing special in a town full of weed choices. Their selection of cartridges is often sparse, and I can usually find the same ones at other places for at least a few bucks cheaper. I know they do offer some regular deals, but none of them usually appeal to me. I'm not sure if they offer any loyalty program, but I know there was not one in place when I used to shop there. On a positive note: there is ample parking on the backside of their building.

Tj's on 7th

What a lovely little hidden gem! Nestled right next to an auto shop on busy 7th Street, it's easy to see how many folks might miss it. Parking in front is limited, but it's easy to find ample parking in the large McDonald's lot right next door. Inside you will find a beautifully designed little apocathary style dispensary. The decor is surprisingly tasteful and elegant...perhaps the nicest around. Staff have always been really laid back and fun to interact with; it seems as though they genuinely enjoy their workplace. They are also quick to let you know about great deals to be had, but they are never pushy and only seek to guide you to what you're really interested in. Flower selection is usually relatively small, but their upper shelf strains are nicely curated for quality. I especially appreciate that they carry my favorite growers (Fox Hollow Flora) on a regular basis. Pricing is consistent with quality of flower. Their cartridge collection is small, but they always have a few brands to choose from. Their cartridge pricing seems competitive, overall. I come here for the friendly service and quality flower. They also offer a loyalty program through Weedmaps with some nice rewards in addition to regular weekly special deals.

Nectar - Eugene River

I've had a bit of a love/hate relationship with this place since it opened...and it continues to be a tricky relationship. They do have a pretty awesome selection of products. Their flower selection is generally well-curated and the diversity of pricing accurately correlates to quality offered. There is something here for everyone's budget and taste. Their selection of cartridges is also impressive, and pricing on these seems very competitive. The general atmosphere and sleekness of their packaging is very appealing to those of us who appreciate aesthetics. Be warned that during peak times, this place can get busy and you might be waiting in line for a while. I've been less impressed with their staff over the years compared with other dispensaries in town. Their attempts at different versions of a loyalty program in the past years has been tricky, meaning that I lost accumulated points no fewer than three times. The young man who assisted me last time was so vague about the newest system, I couldn't even understand what "rewards" we're available. Their staff also seems to have a tendency to want to get you in and out quickly. Last time I barely had time to glance at the menu before the budtender was asking questions and quickly trying to narrow my focus and "suggest" seemingly random strains. I know what I like and can usually choose quickly, but these guys need to give me a minute to look at strains and numbers. Don't try to rush me like I'm at the damn McDonald's drive thru. That all being said, Nectar is worth a visit because of their diverse inventory. They also offer great deals and bundles from time to time, so that can make it worth tolerating their lackluster service. One last thing: their parking lot is a nightmare!

Chalice Farms Recreational Weed Dispensary - Sorority House

Nice location, cool old historic house, and helpful staff. I come here primarily for their amazing selection of cartridges. They have an excellent selection of Select Elite carts in both gram and half gram sizes. Their selection of FlavRX carts is also nice, especially because this brand is harder to find. I also find that their cartridge prices tend to be very competitive, and usually cheaper than most other dispensaries. As far as flower, their selection is usually expansive and reasonably priced. They also offer some great specials on a regular basis, so be sure to inquire. The staff is always friendly and many recognize me as a frequent customer. They do offer a loyalty program through Weedmaps on the nifty little iPads at the counter, so you might as well sign up and get points- it's super easy. Finally, this place gets major style points for being in an old Victorian style house...AND it's centrally located in Eugene with it's own parking lot!

Amazon Organics

9/27/2017
This is my neighborhood dispensary, so I find myself here more frequently than any other dispensary in Eugene. More importantly, Amazon Organics is affiliated with my favorite local growers: Fox Hollow Flora. The weed here is by far not the cheapest in town, but their middle and top shelf flower selection is a truly cultivated buffet of choice. In fact, their bottom tier selection is as good as many top shelves I've seen in lesser dispensaries. Service is excellent, and the staff seems to stick around long-term...which leads me to believe this company must be a decent employer to work for. It's nice to see the same friendly faces and establish a rapport with your budtenders. I have to confess that their cartridge selection is a bit sparse and I'd love to see them add some more diversity to their offerings here. I'd certainly appreciate a better selection of Select Elite carts, especially in half grams. All in all, come here for their top quality herb from Fox Hollow Flora, Herban Tribe, and Cannassentials. You'll spend some dosh for it, but at least you can rest easy knowing you're getting the cream of the crop. Also, be sure to inquire about their loyalty program in which you can build up points toward a $10 credit on a purchase.
