Rating: 1 Star Title: Disgusting Treatment of a Loyal Customer – I Heard the Abuse Firsthand
I have been a loyal customer of Oasis Cannabis for a long time, but I will never step foot in this establishment again. While I wasn’t physically in the store for these recent interactions, I was on the phone and listened to the entire thing. What I heard was a masterclass in shady business practices and unhinged unprofessionalism.
The "Disappearing" Records: I listened as the staff (Randy and Ben) gave my fiancé the run-around regarding a receipt. First, it was "internet issues," then Ben claimed he "deleted" the sales record from the system so he couldn't provide a paper trail. As a customer listening in, this sounds incredibly sketchy and like a major OLCC compliance violation. You don't just "delete" transactions in a regulated industry. It sounded like they were intentionally hiding the fact that they double-charged her for a battery.
Hostility and Gaslighting: I had to listen to my fiancé break down in tears because of how dismissive and cold Ben was being. He treated her like she was incompetent for simply asking for a receipt for a $100+ transaction. Hearing someone you care about be treated with that level of condescension while they are just trying to resolve a financial error is infuriating.
The Manager’s Outburst: The worst part was the manager, Deena. I heard the entire conversation the following day. When my fiancé expressed her frustration and said we wouldn't be back, I clearly heard Deena yell "GOOD!" over the phone. When my fiancé walked away and used a choice word out of total frustration (which she regrets), Deena didn't act like a professional—she acted like a bully. I heard Deena screaming "F*** YOU" back at her so loudly it came through the phone clear as day while my fiancé was already out in the parking lot.
The Verdict: If you want to shop at a place that double-charges you, "loses" your receipts, and has management that screams profanities at customers in the street, this is the place for you. If you value professional service and legal business practices, go literally anywhere else.
We will be reporting the lack of receipts and the "deleted" records to the OLCC.
