Durban Gushers

11/4/2025
Ummmm, ya. I just harvested 16 outdoor plants of a strain called, “Gushers.” Not sure which one as there are now 100’s of variations of this strain. The plant’s we grew were far from plants and more like full grown trees. The tallest one reaching 14’8” high. The smallest one was 12’ or so. The only reason we grow this strain every year is because of the flavor. We run it through a CLS & get more product than most any other strain. We save about a lb for personal consumption each year and by the next grow, we’re ready for more of its goodness. The last time we tested it in concentrate form, it was 86.2% THC which is very good. I have a feeling that this year’s testing will be a little higher in THC and flavonoids. It’s not my favorite strain but it is very good and strong in concentrate forms. We tested the flower last year at 22.7% so this app seems to hit the mark pretty closely. I don’t always smoke the best but when I do, I savor it’s flavor like a fine wine. Stay high my friends!

Flo

10/14/2025
I grew this strain the very first year cannabis was legal to grow. In S. Oregon, we can grow up to 6 plants w/o a permit. I moved here from Texas that year so my skills were a little rusty. Thank goodness my neighbor, (a police man)was a lifelong seasoned grower here in SW Oregon. He knew what strains would grow the best in our micro climate. We planted six trees in Gold Hill and six in Sam’s Valley. The GH grow was all Flo by DJ Short. We ended up starting them in February inside a tent and on Mother’s Day they gradually went outside until they were ready for full sun. Those trees were planted in 100 gallon smart pots and every one of them were over 14’ tall. After harvest we had accumulated 46#’s of some of the most beautiful buds I had ever seen before. The taste was fruity and EVERYONE wanted to buy some. It sold out faster than the DJ Shorts Blueberry. Both are great strains but Flo is one I’ll NEVER forget. The colas on every Flo tree were as big around as my thighs and super tall. Bugs absolutely hate this strain so pests are not a problem really. The colas are very tight so in order to keep them from molding or rotting, you’ll definitely need a fan and a dehumidifier. Keep the room cool around 70 with all lights off. I found that they tend to tighten up quite a bit so don’t hang the whole cola thinking it won’t rot because it usually will. I gave this strain 5 stars because everything about this strain kicks butt. It’s not lacking anything really. It has the look, taste, smell, and high that makes this strain top shelf everywhere it sells.

Frost Flakes

10/12/2025
I recently had a friend run some big buds of FF in his CLS. We ended up using over half of a 8# plant. My absolute favorite were the Diamonds! They were huge in size with some weighing nearly 12 Oz’s. I wish I could show pictures of them but I don’t think you can post anything but words. My farm in Cave Jct. Oregon produced a lot of this strain. It tested at 31.7% thc and taste sweet but very potent. If you wait to long to harvest it, you will most certainly get some mildew as the colas are extremely large and tight (if you know what you’re doing.) I suffer from severe RLS, (Restless Legs Syndrome.) and a host of many other ailments. When dabbing said diamonds, my body reacts by taking away the pain and leaving it with a tingling sensation all over my body. Then I usually fall asleep after about 6 big bowls. I’ve also smoked the flower and super tasty! Almost smells like a cherry cheesecake made out of gym sox. My wife adores this strain so much that it’s all she will grow in her hydroponic system. She is finally getting Diploid seeds so there are really never any mess ups and seeding out my starts. For those of you not in the know about Diploid seeds and strains, go to seedsman.com. I believe they sell some there still. A diploid seed makes the plant grow about 20-25% faster and is completely unusable to get pregnant. I’ve grown seeded plants in the same room with diploid seeds and I’ve never seen the diploid plant get pregnant. The diploid plants also grow bigger and stronger than regular feminized seeds. Diploid plants from seed also have a huge root system! They need a lot of dirt, sun, and love.
