I'm new to the area, having just moved from the East Coast. I did some looking into on Google and Leafly in order to get a feel for what the best local recreational shop in Tacoma would be. I compiled a list of the areas most well reviewed shops, and set out to check them out in person. After giving 3 other shops a visit and not being very impressed (besides for The Herbal Gardens; They were awesome, but unfortunately did not service recreational customers as they are a medical-only shop), I ended up at World of Weed. From the minute I walked in, I had a good vibe. The shop has a clean, fluid, and well thought out layout. The menu is extremely easy to read; it's clearly visible and organized in a very logical way. The products are also nicely displayed for your viewing pleasure. Matt was the bud tender who greeted me, and was exceptionally knowledgable about the products that were offered. He answered all my questions adequately and expertly. After conversing with him for a bit, I asked for a few minutes to look over the menu and checkout the product displays; he happily obliged and made it a point to follow up with me every so often in a non-intrusive manner incase I needed anything, had a question, or was ready to make my selection/purchase. At no point did I feel my time was wasted, nor was I pushed towards any particular product. To the owner/management; I'm sure you guys know this already, but Matt is an exceptional employee that definitely had the largest impact of any variable on my choosing your particular cannabis shop to make a purchase at. Staff interaction is very important, and largely the reason why I walked out of the previous 3 shops I visited without making a purchase. Matt, if you're readying this; props to you mate, keep on doing what you're doing! I was thoroughly impressed with the shop's overall atmosphere and structure, excellent product selection, very reasonable prices, and most of all, the knowledgable and approachable employees. I look forward to visiting again and would not hesitate to recommend this shop to a friend. One thing I would like to encourage is for you guys to consider offering a military/veteran discount; though active duty and other current military service members cannot use your products, I'm sure many in the area have family members who do use marijuana for both medicinal and recreational purposes. Additonally, I'm sure there are plenty of veterans out there who could DEFINITELY benefit from marijuana use for medicinal purposes to treat multiple physical and psychological ailments.
