Acapulco Gold reviews
Read people’s experiences with the cannabis strain Acapulco Gold.
Speaking from a purely subjective experience, I would not recommend this strain if you are sensitive to sativas and high THC content, however if you can handle that kind of strain I imagine it would be phenomenal. I normally go for hybrids or indicas with high CBD ratios to deal with stress, poor sleep, and anxiety. However, feeling experimental, I decided to test out a particular strain of Acapulco Gold that my go to dispensary was selling, which boasted a 9%THC to 13%CBD rating. After a mildy strenuous four hour hike I decided to mix a pretty small amount with tobacco and the result was about a 3 hour trip through one of the worst anxiety attacks I've ever experienced. I was in full panic mode; sweaty palms, dizzy, lightheaded, tense, fast heartbeat, shallow breathing, fear of passing out, and more. I began feeling feverish and eventually fell asleep for three hours with what felt like intermittent sleep apnea only to wake up with a pounding headache. Consindering some variables, I do experience some of these effects occasionally without smoking, and hiking before hand was probably exhausting, so my conclusion is that this particular strain I tried just heightened everything to it's max (both the good and bad). I'd highly recommend it to someone experienced who enjoys a long and heightened recreational sativa high. But my body chemistry just didn't handle it well. I guess I'll just have to stick to high cbd strains.
This is one of my favourite strains...got this at my local dispensary for $60 a half O. I smoke this one in the day to stay productive and not feel tired or groggy during or after I vape it. It’s got a nice earthy taste that goes down smooth.
Acapulco Gold concentrate was recommended to me by my dispensary. I was looking for a Sativa to balance the (Hash Plant).
Happy 😃. This will work! I’ve developed a new fondness for Sativa (creativity). This strain positively enhances your mood.
The lineage speaks for itself. Another satisfied consumer reporting. I’ll be adding this as my go to Sativa considering availability.
Purity, Clarity, Uplifting, Focus, and Lucid.

This is currently my favorite landrace strain, and probably my favorite Sativa. My dad's generation always talked up Acapulco, but until moving to Tucson I dismissed it as Cheech & Chong nostalgic B.S. No more.
This is the only strain I've sampled that is truly a golden color, with practically no green, purple, or orange. It is one of (if not the only) sativa that is not at all anxiolytic. The THC content is not overwhelming compared to something like G.C. or Alaskan, but that's a good thing if you plan to go out in public. Euphoria is the defining mental characteristic.
This strain helps me with depression at least as well as Cherry Pie or Bubblegum. With overtones of toffee and mocha, this is the perfect morning smoke.
I've sampled a lot and this is has remained one of my top 5 desert island strains without question. This is no hipe; this is real gold.
Landrace Strain.
Like the original namesake the Acapulco Gold flowers with fat colas, flecked with beautiful reddish brown calyx, each covered with beautiful crystals of THC.
The smoke has an intense fruit cocktail flavour that lingers for hours. This is a Sativa dominant strain that offers a long lasting high, balancing relaxing stress reduction with a real upbeat effect. Acapulco Gold far surpasses the rhapsodized smoke of days past.

Made me a bit more energetic and happy, but nothing like Sour Diesel, Purple Diesel or even Quantum Kush.
I have tasted the original (OK you got me. I am in my late ‘60s) and this is it. I don’t know how it was kept for so long but I thank the stars every time I am able to find this,— bow down to that person or persons (in the 60s we would’ve said “head” or “freaks”)
You knew how important this would be. I know it sounds like I’m nostalgic — indeed I am! It brings back scents and tactle memories and frankly,The war in Vietnam... Well, things that I don’t really need need to explain to you
It’s time for you enjoy it, young folks, and know that this is what we do reveled in when the normal price for an ounce was 12 bucks and it had to be at least three fingers in width.
Nuff from me 🍄🐲🐉
Peace love and pot smoke
This classic is a happy smoke, even if you are down. Energetic enough that even at 25.28% THC I'm not getting too confused to remember what I was doing. Tastes okay too.
