Casey Jones reviews
Read people’s experiences with the cannabis strain Casey Jones.
This is my first experience smoking, so take this review however you'd like. I found this to be uplifting and mellow. I've been able to go about my day relaxed, but pretty clear-headed.
I'm fond of this strain to help with PTSD & depression issues, it's great for daytime use and often available in my area.
This strain made me real awake and made all the creative, odd thoughts come out that your rational brain usually throughs out. Opposite of couch lock high. Has a real bright green and crystaly look with orange hairs. Looks awesome. Tastes earthy and sweet.
This is one of those amazing Sativa's that is not super high in THC content, however, provides one of the happiest and most uplifting effects I've enjoyed in a long time. The taste is smooth and fresh, without the harsh after-bite of some similar strains. I'd be interested in combining this with Maui-Waui, another wonderful "happy" Sativa.
Really like this strain. Easy on your lungs.
Very creative high... Also makes you super energetic...But not right away. I get a burst of energy as I come down from this.
It's a great day time smoker..😉

Casey Jones takes me on lovely conscious journeys every time I smoke it. It begins with that orange zest mentioned in the strain details, and then the high explodes from the back of my head to my lungs, only to zip through the rest of my body like goosebumps, or a chill. This sudden onset might not affect everyone, but I love this strain for when I need to calm down. You can't well be sad or pissed off when all you want to do is get the Earth back on its axis.
In addition to the almost immediate effects, the high gets more smooth and provides enough sedation for a solid 8 hours of sleep.
On the negative side, my metabolism is trashed (thanks, genetics) and this is a potent, long-lasting strain. The sedation carries into the morning, so I have trouble waking up after a night of smoking this. But I have hypothyroidism, so my experience may differ from yours.
Overall: My favorite strain thus far. My favorite Tucson dispensary (Green Halo!) called it their strongest, next to Larry OG — both testing above 20% THC. This sits up next to Matt's No. 1 OG, which blew my head apart every time I smoked (or drank, vaped, or ate) it.

I've had migraines for 35 years, and presumably that has something to do with the fact that I'm unable to get high. Seriously, I could smoke alongside Cheech & Chong and make them look like lightweights. But this particular strain made me a little loopy. Knocked my headache to the curb very quickly, but it did return as I sobered up. Next time I smoked more than my usual, trying to taper off while I got to feeling better. And it worked. I needed about 5 hits, starting from regular sized to small at the end. Getting loopy isn't what I'm after, but I rated this 5 stars because I think that's what you all want to know -- how well it gets you high and makes you feel better.
