Chocolate Thai reviews
Read people’s experiences with the cannabis strain Chocolate Thai.
Love the lineage of this strain. It originated as something called thai sticks that were sold at the end of central park. The sellers would wrap a stick with bud sometimes dipped in opium with aluminum foil and you would get almost an eighth for ten bucks.
Now here we have chocolate thai. The grandson of the original. It smells musty and slightly sweet with a very earthy dark taste. It really makes you zone out and really think. Personally I love that especially when I smoke alone. Its an overall good high but the nugs do fall apart pretty easily
Even though the original Chocolate Thai went extinct in the 90's, this was a nice reminder of days gone by. Perfect strain for my wake & bake. The dense dark forest green buds smelled & tasted of chocolate & coffee. Lots of fire brown pistils & twinkling crystal trichomes among the golden peach fuzz hairs. The cerebral high made me upbeat, cheerful, & calm. Medicate On.....
It smells and tastes amazing, one of the best I've ever had. The high is more energizing than anything and it really makes me hungry. unfortunately for me, I didn't get any pain relief.
Always get a special feeling when getting to try a landrace strain. The feeling is one of respect as if getting to meet a an old movie star that has been around since the beginning of time. One of the originals that have had to survive the elements since before Christ was born. Ancient. Cher if she were a strain of weed. lol
No, No, No I digress I meant more like big foot or the lochness monster. Durban Poisin, Northern Lights, Afghani, as well as Chocolate Thai. Never got to see this strain in bud form because it was a discounted gram of shake. The leftover shake was a low percentage 9.7% with a bit of CBD 2.3%, but really had no concern with that just wanted to try some Chocolate Thai.
The leaf was a dark brown hue that was very similar to brown schwag brickweed from the east coast. You know the kind that sometimes smells like dryer sheets cause that is what they wrap it in to smuggle it? This smelled nothing like that though. It was spicy and sharp to smell almost making me want to jerk my nose away.
Being that it was a neat peppery tasting smoke that was a little harsh on throat. It did make me cough a whole heck of a lot. But on the other side of that hacking and giggling followed by more coughing was a huge perma-grin. The euphoria that comes with this strain is phenomenal lasting a good 2-3 hours with only a few tokes. It was a mystical smoke that at times had me feeling so good I might as well have been smoking a bowl with Jesus. Or Cher......

nothing like the old skool strain
I have 30+ year old seeds, original of many many old school seeds...all kept perfectly! The real deal chocolate thai, after smoking a joint, you will swear you just ate a Hershey candy bar!!! from what I remember was a very very nice high, with laser like focus!
Thats funny that this strain is actually a sativa. Back in the day (2005) we thought this was an Indica strain. We use to call it “chaka-thai”, and it use to come in one ounce compressed bricks. From what my friends said it was dipped in opium and compressed. The high from this strain, was actualy pretty mellow high which was good for me cuz i am sensitive to thc. This was a good strain to remember lol. We use to have ounces of this stuff just laying around. Fun times!

Legendary. The first strain I tried that was a step up from the schwag, backyard boogie I mained in high school. Would consider this what we used to call 'mids'
