Personal Note: I smoke out of what I call "perfectly rolled joints" which is where I basically take a cigarette (Newport) and roll the white part in between my fore finger and thumb until the tobacco is loosened up, then continue to roll it (never breaking or tearing the paper) until the preferred amount of tobacco has fallen out. Then I take my small nugs of MJ and stuff them by hand into the open end of the cigarette, after doing this a couple times I take a skinny object (like the clear plastic tube on a pen that holds the ink) and pack the weed down as much as desired. Repeat this until your still-intact cigarette paper is full, twist off the top and store it wherever you can a cigarette. Note, do not remove the brown filter paper or the filter itself. When your ready to smoke, roll the brown paper until the filter comes out, then you have plenty of space for your fingers (no need to burn them because the weed stops at the top of the brown paper). Initial Opinion: Still coming down a little bit even after 4.5 hours. Granted I haven't smoked in about 6 months so this is a pretty good kick in my ass lol. Smell: As soon as I wove my way through 4 layers of vaccum-sealed packing and I got to the final bag (sized enough for an 1/8 of this dense, springy bud) the naturally grape smelling musky dankness hit me. Definitely a 'musky', 'earthy' smell to God's Gift. A little hint of grapes as well. Even after replacing the weed into it's many layers of packaging I still had to spray a good amount of Axe and had the ceiling fan on with the window open before the smell went away. This just from taking it out of its packaging. Look: For the most part this strain was a dense group of bright green buds with visible crystals. The small amount of stem was almost pure white, easy to tell bud from stem when separating by hand. There were a few purple-tinged leaves hanging around on the larger nugs, gave a nice contrast to the rest of the green. Very compact looking all the way down to the stem. Feel: This strain had a unique crispness that went along with slightly damp springiness. Saying that I mean when you apply light pressure with your fingers, it gives back slight springy tension but would also make a crisp sound when pressure is released. If greater pressure is applied, the bud compresses together and sticks slightly. When torn apart by fingers, good amounts of residue is left on the fingers (gave me a tiny 60 second buzz after licking residue lol). Comes apart easily, and then can be packed very nicely. Partly soft like a cloud, and partly crispy like a bush. The Smoke Session: I went out to the back porch on a pretty warm evening (march in washington, dc) around 12:30am to light up my perfect joint (PJ). Some of the strains iv'e tried in the past didn't light very well in the PJ (usuing a normal zippo lighter with butane fuel) because of a number of reasons. God's Gift almost instantly sparked after a couple seconds of lighting. This might be due to the light, springy, main part of the buds. Smoke was very smooth (haven't smoked weed for 6 months and only coughed a couple times after the 3rd hit) and tasted exactly like the burnt version of grape filled soil. Very top-shelf feeling to the smoke. Crept up on me after i was about 3/5 through the PJ, starting to feel the tingly buzz in the legs and up to my neck. A couple more hits and my head was buzzing pretty good. Got up to dispose of the roach and my body got rocked by it lol. Definitely not my choice for a day-time energy smoke. Had some trouble controlling my jittery legs (first smoke in a while, living in a populated area of Washington, D.C. so I was paranoid already). Went back to my room, extremely concentrated on how I was walking and moving my arms for some reason. Finally got upstairs to my room. The High: (0 Hours since session) Body was jittery (in a happy uplifted type of way) from my feet to my shoulders, I felt very relaxed/buzzed/couch-locked. My head physically felt the buzzing and a generally 'stoned' feeling. Mentally I was just coping with the first stoned feelings in a while, enjoying the buzz. Just sat watching my computers' screen saver for about 30 minutes. Came out of the heady trip of my screensaver and "realized" that I felt very couch-locked and stiff so I wanted to get more comfortable. This was a weird task because my body felt like it was dancing and energetic but it was actually heavy and sluggish. A pretty good feeling for what it sounds like. Putzed around for a while thinking about why my TV was so bright and the animations of the movie (Wreck It Ralph, a very trippy flick for a 20 year old guy to watch while stoned haha). (2.5 hours since session) Just finished movie, had a good time comtemplating the different perspectives of the animations. Focused on the foreground, midground, and background alot during the movie, was fun to think about it and how the movie was made. Watched entirety of the credits lol, spent a little more time staring at the screen. (3 hours since session) Decided to play Half-Life on my XBox, have been trying to get the "Little Rocket Man" and "Payback" achievements on HL2 Ep. 2. Spent about 1.5 hours playing the game, extremely focused on getting the achievements, not too difficult to nagivate the game while high. Still feeling very couch-locked and buzzed. (4.5 hours after session) Done with game, the high is starting to loosen its grip on me, I'm feeling a little more normal bit by bit, generally a slow and gentle comedown. Started looking around on Leafly reading about God's Gift and other strains for a while. (6 hours since session) Most of high is gone, feeling a little let-down, not because I didn't like the weed (it was a great chillaxed evening) but just a slight crashed feeling xD. Want to smoke a little more and I would if I didnt have stuff to do later today, gotta get some sleep since its 6:30am EST. Final Note: Definitely looking forward to after work today so I can try this strain again and do different couch-potato things while flying high. All-in-all the high was very topshelf and cloud 9'ish. Not a bad re-welcoming to the marijuana experience.
