I went to this place five years ago and I remember it still. I was in Europe "finding myself" when I decided to visit Holland just because why not. I wasn't a big marijuana person back then but I remember being very nervous before going in. The idea of someone walking into a coffee shop and buying marijuana or even smoking it inside a coffeeshop was very daunting, nonetheless I went inside and was greeted by down tempo music, reading materials and boardgames. The lady behind the counter was very friendly and laughed when I told her I like to buy two spliffs. I took my spliffs and sat down and lit one. I remember reading a short story called Hall of Mirrors and within five minutes the high hit me. I couldn't read anymore, I've never been high like that in my life and I realized why she laughed when I bought two spliffs. The marijuana the sold me ruined me, I felt like my face was melting off. It was the best high while simultaneously being the most paranoid I've ever been in my life. Sitting there, staring at a wall I felt like people were looking at me. A few minutes later in walks an older gentleman who was greeted with hugs by the woman behind the counter. The gentleman walks over to a table and pulls out a box. He then takes the contents of the box out and begins rolling joints for the shop. He saw me sitting there doing nothing and he walks up to me and asks if I'm okay. I tell him yes. He then says "Oh." I go "Oh?" He then says "Most Americans don't realize how potent the marijuana is here. Obviously you know now." He smiles at me and then proceeds to roll more joints. I never smoked the second one and I didn't know that I could have taken it with me. I didn't need it though. This place was remarkable and I felt very safe. If I ever go back to Holland I'll make sure this places is the only coffeeshop I visit.

Best coffee shop atmosphere ever, clear and sunny coffee right in front of the amstel river, 2 feet away from the "bloomenmarket" (flower market) really great weed menu (20+ different strain, 10 sativa type, 7 indica, 3 hybrid) super good hash 6 Marocin hashish, Nepales, + extract, for a MAXIMAL price of 20$ love ittttt

I went to this place 4 years ago and, having since moved to NL, it still sticks in my memory. The staff were friendly and helpful. At that time I didn't really know much beyond "sativa" and "indica" so I remember being asked what mood I wanted - they recommended Mango Kush. It was top notch! I've never had as clean, chilled and enjoyable a high from this strain since having it from this coffeeshop. They didn't have an extensive menu but they clearly have gone for quality. This place is small, in a cozy way, and has a super chilled atmosphere. I don't remember exactly the refreshment menu but I do remember that I got really into the fruit teas they had... I would strongly recommend hanging out here with a book, a partner or a just couple of buddys.

Made my first trip out to Amsterdam the weekend the Cannibus Cup started, so you know I had to stop off at the Best shop Green House and was recommended the Super Lemon Haze one of the best strains I've ever smoked. Thanks again guys!

It’s the greatest coffeeshop in Amsterdam. Current laws prevent most Amsterdam coffeeshops to allow people to smoke their joint with regular tobacco. Instead people are forced to smoke their green with a mix of herbs that taste not unalike the stuff we feed to horses. But at this coffeeshop the smoking area is as spacious, comfortable and atmospheric as the non-tobacco smoking area. The drinks and food is almost as great as their supply of weed at many various prices. And to add to that they have a number of boardgames and a vaporiser at your exposal. And when people call you, if they ask where you are, just say: i am in Russia!

Greenhouse is well known to be the Coffeeshop of the 'King of Cannabis', Arjen van Roskam. I love watching Strain Hunters and was intrigued to visit the coffeeshop and see what it was like. I bought some Super Lemon Haze (organically grown) and enjoyed being there. Being in the city center it is very touristy and often very busy. There's often large queues at the bar and the waiters seem very rushed which kind of kills the vibe. The interior is absolutely beautiful. Very trippy, shroomy-like decorations with accompanying music. When it's warm you can sit outside look out over the gracht.

Best shop in Amsterdam, on the smallest block with 4 other amazing Dutch businesses!! So yes, been going to the GA since 1996 and have a lovely relationship there, the buds are always Fresh and Delicious, as are the different types of Hashes both Traditional and Modern!! So bring yourself there ASAP and stock up for your trip so you don't get ripped off at other shops with lower quality!! They have a great assortment of Bongs and even have Puffco's for Dabbing. Then when you need food, the 'deli/cafe' two doors away has Fresh Pasta made each day, sandwiches, drinks and does have seating. For desert and to take home, Puccini Chocolate across the Straat lol Street on the corner is the best In The World!!!!!!
