I went to this place 4 years ago and, having since moved to NL, it still sticks in my memory. The staff were friendly and helpful. At that time I didn't really know much beyond "sativa" and "indica" so I remember being asked what mood I wanted - they recommended Mango Kush. It was top notch! I've never had as clean, chilled and enjoyable a high from this strain since having it from this coffeeshop. They didn't have an extensive menu but they clearly have gone for quality. This place is small, in a cozy way, and has a super chilled atmosphere. I don't remember exactly the refreshment menu but I do remember that I got really into the fruit teas they had... I would strongly recommend hanging out here with a book, a partner or a just couple of buddys.

just come back from a week in Amsterdam and this was a daily visit for me and my mate. Small selection of weed/hash and pre rolled which means you're not overwhelmed with choice. It is more often than not packed but there is outside seating in the alley and they serve the best latte I've ever tasted.

If you are in Amsterdam and like a smoke then this is the place to go, the oldest coffee shop in Amsterdam with lots of memorabilia involving old police raids and history of the building, it's very busy but if you manage to get a booth (which we did) then it's an extremely good atmosphere with perfect service and great music to chill to and a great drinks selection. Also a very good selection of strains,make sure you head here!!!

Very good atmosphere, like an ol good pub. Nice service, good ppl, some even play chess. I'd recommend to stay there and order some tea or coffee too.

Only had drinks in here and stopped off for a smoke we already had on us, drinks were all really good and service was brilliant. Atmosphere was faultless quality little coffeeshop will 100% be going back

Classic Amsterdam coffee shop! A must visit if you're walking near the Red Light District. They have two locations: one where you can purchase cannabis, and another (about 20m down the same street) where you can smoke/drink/socialize.

Barney's Coffeeshop is the best in Amsterdam for me! Since 15 years i love to come back, they are always so welcoming, even if you're alone with a backpack, no problemo.. They always have a smile for everyone. At my last visit on 419 9days ago, i got offered a Tangerine Dream balloon from the cute girl with the glasses, who was working in the back. It was a really nice gesture. Felt like home. Thank you sooo much again <3 I'll be back in the summer or so for sure! :)) It is clearly a more expensive coffeeshop but that doesn't matter to me, when i'm there i have to visit them it's like a rule and the weed is always great nothing to complain here. full 5 Stars!

The Doors was probably my favourite coffeeshop I visited while in Amsterdam. Located on one of the canals, this place was medium sized and had a hippy feel to it, with an array of 70s and 80s beats as part of the music playlist. What did impress me though was the unusual selection of bud, as well as the hash that was available there. Staff made me and my compatriots feel more than welcome. Also one of the first shops you will come across coming from Amsterdam Central Station if you head to the right upon leaving the building. A must visit to one of Dams less commercial establishments.
