Northern Roots

I travel all over MI and I’ve seen a lot of dispensaries. Many of them seem a little inexperienced with retail. These guys are at another level entirely. They have an attractive, abundantly-stocked bud room with enormous variety. The staff are knowledgeable and friendly. They sell an intelligently-curated selection of flower, edible, etc etc. Plus an equally thoughtful paraphernalia selection. Finally, the prices range from reasonable to quite competitive. Overall, this shop looks to me like the future of provisioning shops. Competitors take note. I live 200 miles away, but I’m telling you, I’ll be back regularly. —Patrick

WOW!!! My husband and I visited your location Sunday September 15th and were blown away by the entire experience. We have been to about 20 different dispensaries in the Metro Detroit area and northern Michigan. Northern Roots is by far the best I’ve been to ever!!! Ashley at the front desk was so warm, welcoming, friendly and informative from the moment we walked in. Zack our Budtender was so patient, fun and knowledge throughout our entire visit. I must have asked him at least 420 questions and he never made me feel rushed or annoying;) You both made our day and I’ll be back to see you! These guys are amazing people I look forward to going in there, I know it’s going to be a good laugh with Zach and Cheyenne. They are always educating me about the flowers . I really just leave my choices to them and I always walk away happy. They have good daily sales everyday too which is a plus because it can get quite exspensive!! On 420 they gave me all kinds of edibles for a penny !! Right on!! I won’t go anywhere else they earned my business and my respect!!!

i have never seen a dispensary like this before. truely has that small town up north feel. bbq outside on the grand opening, a bunch of other fun things going on all day, and my budtender Randy was fantastic. he was a strong sativa guy like me and reccommended the gold shelf durban poison. i havent had durban poison like that ever before. usually its a very strong fast hitting strain but ive been smoking a lot daily for 5 years so i wasnt expecting to see my eyes all blood shot like it was my first time, and feel like im in outerspace ALL NIGHT after smokin just an average doob.

This was a great experience.. The staff helped me put together some stuff to help with my moms parkinsons plus.. She is more balanced and a little more like herself again.. After just the first dose she stopped shaking as bad and by the end of the day she was walking a little better.. Simply amazing.. Thank yall so much. While on vacation I saw Northern Roots and decided to stop in. I am so glad I did. Wonderful, courteous and knowledgeable staff made me feel at home as soon as I walked in the door. Their sales room was immaculate and intelligently laid out. The selection was awesome, and the quality of what I purchased was perhaps the best I have found, and that is high praise indeed. I would recommend anyone traveling north on US 23 in Michigan to stop by and see them. I know I will every time I am in Oscoda.

Stopped in today and of course place is always so clean and welcoming and of course Cheyenne, Ashley, and Zac was working and I think Dave was in the back. lol. but u guys all are just awesome, every question I have u have no problem helping answer my question. and Ritchie dont think I for got about u. when I come in n u are working you make my visits great also. cant come in and not mess with you if ur there . lol but Thanks all of you guys for great visits and with all my questions and concerns, you all ROCK!!!! Although I stopped by a few months ago for the first time, it was a quick in and out. My second visit was on Christmas Eve. I specifically wanted something that would help me with pain and insomnia and make the holidays a little more enjoyable. Hence, I met Cheyenne. What a super nice staff member and I was met with a smile and she used my first name to greet me. Immediately relaxed, I told her what I was looking for. The one on one attention I received was the best in all my visits to dispensaries. Not only did Cheyenne know her product line, she knew what each product/strain had to offer and how it would help me. I was extremely impressed.

As an elderly man, I can say I've been treated with respect by their staff. Product is fresh and the buds are the best I've had since legality 4 gram eighths of 28% for under 30. The only place in the area as well.

Went here for the 2nd time earlier. One of the best establishments I've been too. The tender (zach) was very helpful an informative. Tolerated my annoying questions very kindly lol he made suggestions for things for me to try (which I did) an they were all great suggestions. 5/5 I will be goin back here everytime im in the area amazing staff an inventory. and a very comfortable environment. highly recommend!!!!!

I want to let everyone know how wonderful the workers are here. I am new to the MMJ scene and they never make me feel dumb when I ask questions. I love the fact that they listen to you and their reccimendations are most of the time spot on. I was recently in and discussed some of my chronic pain issues and Chill Medicated Rub was suggested. This has changed my life!! I cannot say enough about these guys!

I could not be more pleased with our experience with Zack and All Staff! Everyone is very friendly and helpful. All of the staff members are very knowledgeable about all products and are very willing to explain your options and answer any questions you may have. If you have not given this place a shot you should definitely make the trip! They have Beautiful 💐😉

Quality: The quality never disappoints. I’ve tried various products from this PC and I’ve never been upset! Service: the service is flawless. Sales reps are educated, friendly, and charismatic. Atmosphere: I think the atmosphere is incredibly noteworthy. The decor is so clean and sophisticated. It feels like walking into a PC in LA just smaller scale. (I’ve not been to LA but I’ve seen dispo tours online)

We were in Oscoda for 4th of July weekend, visiting from Flint. We were highly impressed with the cleanliness of the facility, and the friendliness of the front desk employee! Our advocate, Cheyenne (sp?) took such great care of us as well, answered our many questions, and gave some killer recommendations. We’ve thoroughly enjoyed all the product we purchased, and will definitely be coming back next time we are in town!

I love this dispensary! It is so well organized, the prices are so great, and the people. The people who own this place and work here are the best people I’ve ever met! They answer my million questions and help me out so much! I have a dispensary that’s about forty five minutes closer to my house but I will only go here! Thank you guys!

I got to work with Zack today for my first visit. Can I just say, he was the best!!! Not only did he make an amazing recommendation for an indica that I am in love with, he gave me pointers on local hotspots to visit!! Seriously?!?! This guy was amazing! If you’re anywhere near this place, make the trip. You won’t regret it!

Awesome experience! The staff was extremely knowledgeable, and matched my preferences with the right products. The selection was excellent, the product was outstanding, and the atmosphere was mega cool. The prices were a lot better than expected, and extremely reasonable. We will shop here whenever we are in town, and choose it over competing shops.

This place was very accommodating on all levels. As a visitor from Colorado they were able to get me my meds and quite a wide selection as well. Weed could have been dried/cured a bit better , atleast the couple of strains I got (northern lights & silverback gorilla). I put it in a paper bag for 24 hours and it was gettin to be about right. Other than that for where they are these guys are top notch. Could have just been that particular grow doesn’t cure. Anyways, Michigan is blessed to have places like this!
