Today, at the Mechanicsville location, the 25% off store-wide Medical discount was not applied to SunMed or one line of Fade leaf products. With a fixed income, I was not a happy camper, but thanks for the 10% senior discount, anyway.
Budtender was very friendly and efficient.
Greenleaf is closer to us. But we love to come to Story instead. The stock online matches the stock on hand. They always have good deals going on too. Plus, the employees are always super nice and patient.

Very fast service, prices are much better than other dispensaries in my area. This strain is my favorite when smiling dog isn’t available, it helps tremendously with energy to get my physically demanding jobs finished with extreme detail

I live closer to Greenwave but after coming here , I realized how much more of a selection there is, and they almost always have a great sale going on. I went to the 4/20 sale & ended up with a free 5 pack of pre-rolls, which would have been $35 (or more) ! It does not get much better than that!
The staff is always uplifting, happy & welcoming from the minute I walk in, until I’m on my way out, they are just bottom line , pleasant to be around and it makes the experience feel much less stressful as I get indecisive on what I want, but after telling them what I am looking for, they always know right away, what to suggest & they take the time you need to make sure you are getting what you are looking for. The extra 20 min I spend to come here is very well worth it in every aspect & I give them a 5 star rating for sure !!! Thank you!
There was an issue where Leafly had differing prices, so when I went to pay there was a big enough difference that I had to get more money from the ATM. It held up the line and was very confusing. Thank you to Hannah for handling the situation like a pro. I will be ordering from the dispensary’s website from now on and not using Leafly. Thank you for exceptional service. ☺️

The receptionist was rude, she accused me of having an expired medical card which does not expire until 2026. When I told her I never had my card expired and it is good until 2026 she said, “No it is only done a year at a time.” I said, “Oh, you mean my doctor approval. I have never had that expire either. I always renew early.” She said “You have not been here in a while and it was expired.” I told her “No it was not ever expired.” She was rude, condescending, and accused me of things that never happened. I don’t ever want to have her help me again, to the point of if I see her there I might cancel my order and just walk out.

The business closes early just because they wanted to go home. Last minute customers and PATIENTS don't matter to them. That's bad business
I had a pickup order, was in and out in less than 5 minutes. Friendliest place I have found in the SOMD area.

I am tired of going in during the last hour of business (work schedule) only to arrive with 15-20 minutes left and be turned away at the door or find the store already closed and employees cleaning with 10-15 minutes left before close of business. I am no longer going to shop there at all, I love a few of the employees but the lazy bunch that work the evening shift up front have just made me feel as though I am not valued as a customer there. I'll go elsewhere from here on.

If I could give this place a negative -10 review I would in a heart beat. Complete waste of time. Bud tenders don’t know what they’re talking about. They will rush you and take your money with shitty attitude and service. Don’t waste your time.

I just want to say that the store is great but I can't trust any of the products listed on leafly while ordering online because the percentages that are listed for thc are almost always wrong. idk what yal need to do but someone better fix this website. saying flower bud is 56 percent then showing up to find out its only 21 percent is ridiculous. review and revise your descriptions on the site or ill just keep going to greenwave.

I purchased a 1/8 of snoop dog. I later discovered it weighed out to less than 3grams. I spoke to the budtender who informed me that since it was a prepackaged item they would not address the issue. I went from excited to very disappointed and feeling taken advantage of.
I like that the dispensary is locally convenient but as of now I feel uncomfortable about what I can expect when or if I purchase flower from this dispensary . I’m sure that I’m not the only person who’s had this experience. I was treated in a demeaning way. As though my situation was my fault. I was told that pre-packed buds can be improperly marked at the cost of the consumer.
I spoke with the ass manager who told me that Story has no way to verify the promised weight versus the received quantity. And offered me no guidance as to what I can do to prevent this kind of situation. Essentially he was under professional and trivialized and dismissed my complaint. Leaving me feeling that I should take my business and complaint elsewhere. I will/have reached out to the grower (SunMed Growers) and have yet to hear back from them I can’t imagine that it’s is the Story business model.
This was my first purchase from Story of Waldorf although the initial purchase was pleasant the fact the I didn’t receive what I expected and was treated like a less than valued consumer when I presented my concern is appalling

This place is the spot for cannabis in SOMD. I’ve been shopping here since Rec came around in July and it keeps getting better.
Friendly faces consistently, good prices and product, and a great vibe. Big kudos to the staff that make the visits worth it 🤘🏻
