The Novel Tree - Bellevue

First off, it's cool they advertise not only their menu but their prices. The prices here are definitely lower than other shops on the Eastside, and the selection of flower is very good. Friendly and knowledgeable staff. Convenient freeway access (just a couple blocks from the off-ramp.) Good choice for regulars and those who want to check out this whole "legal smoke" thing. Tried the Shiatsu Kush: Takes a little while to kick in, but a mellow and relaxed high, and certainly enough head buzz to make the world interesting. The relaxation brings a subtle weightless feeling to the torso and lower body -- a bit of floaty fun when walking. Overall, uplifting to body and mind. Good mood enhancer with undertones of "I think I'd like to hug somebody." Very mild taste for vaping. It was, however, on the dry side... this can be attributed to growing conditions and overdone drying prior to packaging. For greenhouse-grown, there is no excuse, but don't be put off by it here. What's missing is that added bit of moisture that makes smoke mellower during combustion. A Boveda packet is included if you want to use it. It's designed to emit moisture, so you store it with the herb to re-moisturize. But when VAPING herb this soft-tasting, it's not necessary. Also, the main weight loss for newly-grown flower (that ends up dry) is moisture as opposed to cannabinoids. That means you're getting more of the active ingredients (compared to non-dry herb) because it's sold by weight. Anyway, thumbs up on Shiatsu Kush, and the Novel Tree in Bellevue.

Fantastic shop, nice welcoming people and a warm environment. Always have good quality $10 grams. You'll find beautiful glass pieces, in eloquent cases all around you. The loyalty program is nice to get 15% off. although you have to spend $500 to receive it. Overall a great shop that's close to my home, across the street from the bank, and very convenient. I recommend it to everyone.

Sold me a broken vape pen and wouldn’t work with me to refund or at least replace it. They even tried and confirmed and “said oh that’s weird”. Front desk was friendly, manager was not at all. Have had no issues everywhere else. Will not and haven’t been back since.

This is the best place on the east side. I wish there were better public transit options to get there. But that's a reoccurring issue on the east side in general.

As one would expect in Bellevue, The Novel Tree is a very high class establishment. When I arrived I was surprised that the door man was queuing clients up for when a Budtender became available. This reminded me a lot of visiting an Apple store but with a much shorter wait. Once my Budtender became available, I had her undivided attention until I decided I wanted to peruse the menu in peace. Once I had more questions or needed advice, I once again had the same young lady's undivided attention - this was wonderful. There was no pressure from the Budtenders, and they were fairly unbiased in their recommendations. I'm somewhat of a novice with this stuff, but they were still able to help me with every question even if my lingo was wrong. Prices are a bit higher than other stores in the general area, but I'd expect no less in Bellevue. Their prices seem to run about $5-15 dollars per strain higher than competitors who carry the exact same product. That said, I was happy to pay the premium price for the level of service that I received. The store itself reminds me somewhat of an art gallery, and as such seems somewhat crowded even when it's not In all, I would recommend this store to anyone looking for top shelf product in the Bellevue / Redmond area.

I love the Novel Tree!! Such a friendly, organized, and clean environment. The workers are very helpful, my personal favorite is Matt. He always helps me pick out the perfect flowers or concentrates for how I am feeling, and it always ends up being a great pick! Shout out to Matt for always making the Novel Tree an easy and fun experience by sharing knowledge and personal experiences to help match what I am looking for. I am stoked that I can purchase cannabis legally, and am extremely grateful to be able to do so at the Novel Tree. I feel totally welcome there and don't want to leave once I'm in the door. I've been meeting with very helpful bud tenders at the main counter and have even met one of the owners - all of them are great people!.. So far I've purchased an eight of Afghan #1, two grams of White Widow, and gram quantities of: Afgooey, Hawaiian Dream, Lemon Skunk, Dutch Haze, Blueberry Trainwreck, , Blue Dream, Durban Poison and Super Lemon Haze. The Afghan #1 is my favorite, followed closely by the White Widow; both of them are very stoney!!! Their Strawberry Cough is next on my list when I go back later this week. These guys love to talk pot, and I get excited to be in the presence of like minded people. The store is in a perfect location, and it's only a few miles from my home. The prices are fair ... I can't wait to go back. Cons: Although, they have a wide selection of shatter/wax - they don't have any creams or bubble hash!!! I'm a hash kinda guy ;) - still 5 stars tho.... Craigo

If you enjoy the Devil's Cabbage, this is the retail shop for you. A wide variety at extremely reasonable prices (check this out for yourself online). They also have Happy Hour prices and various specials. I was in there yesterday to pick up an eighth of White Fire Alien, a most excellent hybrid leaning towards indica from Raven Grass (you guys rock) with 24.4% THCA and 0.11% CBD, and they had a special where I added a gram of Dutch Treat (also from Raven Grass) for $5! All told, averaged around $12.50/g for legal premium weed. The shop is very nice and brightly lit, with a selection of high-quality accessories. The greeter and budtenders are very knowledgeable and, I have to say, charming. Pardon the cliché, but totally awesome!! Worth driving to even if you don't live on the eastside...

This place is great! You get personally greeted at the front door by the manager and quickly routed to the counter for great service. The interior is well done and classy. Their glassware is nice but pricey, I prefer importing my own stuff from DHGate. They respond promptly to email and order what you want if it's not in stock. Couldn't ask for a better cannabis store and shopping experience.

Good prices, very nice employees, menu lacks updates. This place has a great setup and menu system. I just wish their Leafly and store menu were up-to-date. They have been out of the bho I came for twice, even though it was listed online and in-store. The "meet the vendor" events are actually really cool and there's usually a good special. I just wish they didn't have "happy hour" and just had the special all day. Parking's a nightmare during this happy hour. Best service on the Eastside, especially the doorman.

Keep me of a boring shop. The budtenders were completely uninterested in helping me and the prices were on the higher side. If they got some better help this would be a really nice spot.

Our favorite location on the eastside. My wife and I always have great conversations about all the new and old strains sold at this location. Super informative and just happy nice people. Also the ipad set to view the products is awesome. Thanks for the great service and store Novel Tree!
