I cannot emphasize how incorrect I was about CBG enough. This flower looks amazing. There is a myriad of crystal clear and bright orange trichomes shooting off this flower. The smell is exactly like white grapefruit, as the name suggests. It’s incredibly citric and sour smelling. Within a few hits I could tell that this was going to be different from CBD. For starters, it was felt almost entirely as a body sensation. My back, which usually aches dully, started to feel great. My legs, tired from the morning run, no longer were throbbing. That’s not to say there’s no mental effect either though. My mind also stopped racing. In fact, I had trouble convincing myself to move onto the next task whereas my problem usually is with the opposite: I start too many tasks at once. My attention was definitely improved by this. I had to stop halfway through the bowl because I was a little tired when I started and I felt so relaxed I was worried I’d subconsciously crawl into my bed instead of finishing my work. Initially I thought that this would be a great strain for the nighttime. Then, after I stopped, I sat down at my computer and I felt more focused than I had all day. This wasn’t just a nighttime strain! This was an all-the-time strain! Later that night, I finished the rest of the bowl and slept soundly through the night: a rarity for me. I should mention the taste which was not very good, if I’m being honest. The smell was so pleasant that I was shocked by the somewhat harsh taste of the smoke. Very little of the citrus smell translates to taste but there is definitely a distinct grapefruit note to this. The aromatic notes are largely covered up by the earthy tones, however, which can be a bit rough on the throat and might make this one a bit harder to consume all at once--though I don’t think you would need to! I don’t think that the taste should detract, however, from how remarkably well this flower worked. Within moments, I was moving slower and I felt my eyelids get heavier. This is an amazing strain that I’m very happy I was able to try!
