Trulieve - Port St. Lucie

7/29/2020
One of the strangest experiences in visiting a dispensary. Immediately upon arriving, there are multiple doors to choose from to enter. However, only one actually opens. (Pro tip: choose the middle one.) Once inside, there were three customers waiting in the lobby, all at least six feet apart. There is a desk of three employees, but also another employee with an iPad to take my name. (I tried checking in with a link that had been sent to me, but it failed to work after multiple attempts.) After taking my name and being asked to wait, I noticed that there were at least two additional employees "working" in the lobby area. The area to enter to pick out your order is behind frosted glass, and after waiting about 15 minutes, it was my turn. Upon entering "the weed zone," there were at least four additional employees in there. Thus, there were a minimum of NINE employees for three customers. (Some additional customers had entered since my wait, but no one was moving especially quick.) The next odd thing is that there are no menus like other dispensaries. No electronic signs, nothing on paper...it's just ask what they have, or go online (which is another frustrating experience). Additionally, while their THC content in their flower is astonishingly high (no pun intented) with one strain at an unbelievable 29%, there is no way to find this out except by simply going in, waiting among the plethora of employees for your turn, and asking the sales rep assigned to you what they have, and what the content is. The sales rep was exteremely polite and helpful, though she seemed ill-prepared for seemingly basic questions like price. Moreover, the prices were extremly high comparitively speaking, though for the high THC content, it's worth the price. Overall, for a company that dominates the market like Trulieve, it's hard to believe a new location would be as antiquated as it is when it comes to finding out basic information. (Calling on the phone leads to a call center that has the same information you can get online.)
